Serena sat back in her chair, staring at the pile of paperwork in front of her.
She let out a sigh and picked up a pen, determined to finish up her work before heading home.

“Come in,” she called out without looking up.
Her assistant, Emma, stepped inside with a bright smile. “Miss Winthrop, there’s someone here to see you.”
Serena raised an eyebrow. “Someone? Who is it?”
Emma grinned. “It’s Nathan.”
