Lexi's P.O.V.
~
I'm now sitting in some fancy office in a lawyers office. I have on my no bullshit face so that he knows that I don't have time to be wasted. He clears his throat awkwardly.
"Um Miss Adams, it states in Mr. Adams will that you were his only inherit. You were to get everything that he owned, including ten million dollars that he had in a trust account for you, all of his properties and possessions. He also wrote a letter for you that if you were still of age to go into school I was to hand to you. There is also one for when you turn twenty one, but I am to hold onto that until the time comes. Since you are seventeen, this is the letter he wrote for you. I will leave the room and give you some privacy to read the letter, when you are done if you have no further questions that you may leave, but if you do have any questions than you can come down to my office. Is that clear?" He asks, still sounding a bit awkward. I simply nod in response.
"Alright I'll, um, just leave you to it." He leaves and closes the door after him. I stare at the door for a few moments after he leave, then I turn and look at the letter on the table. I hesitantly pick it up.
"To my dearest Lexi,
If you are reading this, it means that I have departed from this world. Please, do not cry nor be upset about my death. I will always be with you, in your heart, and memories. I am going to assume that the lawyer has already explained that you get everything of mine. You know I never had any kids of my own, and I see you as my daughter. I know we never really spoke about feelings or emotions unless I was teaching you how to hide them, but I do love you Lexi. I also never got to mention that you look more and more like your mother each day. You have grown into such a strong and beautiful woman that I'm sure your parents would be proud of.
My final wish for you, is to move back to your home town, go back to school, whether it be high school or college, and find your parents killer. We have the research we conducted our selves, use that and continue on with our mission. If you wish to, include Tommy, as dumb as he may come off, I know that that boy has a brilliant mind, and maybe he could help you further. If I didn't die of natural causes, then do not fret about my killer, focus on your parents, you know that they deserve it more.
You may do whatever you wish with the houses I left you, there are seven. Please keep the cabin though, that is the place where I got to watch you grow into a young woman, and also, do not sell the one in your home town. You may live in it whilst you live there, and hopefully, a change or scenery will be good for you and the mission.
I am so proud of you Lexi, and I love you. I hope that you bring your parents killers life to it's end, and that you have a good, long, healthy life, because you deserve that and so much more.
Sincerely,
Uncle Raymond,
or as you like to call me in your good moods, "Uncle Ray Ray"
After reading this letter, one single tear rolled down my cheek. I will avenge my parents, and then you Uncle Raymond, and if that takes the rest of my life, that so be it.
