Chapter 4

Lexi's P.O.V. ~ We were in the car, it was eight in the morning, we had a half an hour before school started, we just wanted tot get there early so we can get our schedules, lockers, and memorise the map of the school.  "Bro I actually can't wait until tonight. We finally get our bikes so I don't have to sit in a car with your stink a*s any longer." I exclaim just as we pull up to school. What I said is a total lie, he actually smells really good and his car is super nice as well, it's just that I prefer bikes because I love the open road. I don't wear a helmet when I ride, most of the time, so my hair is usually flying with the wind, and that's what I love.  He snorts, loudly, as we exit his car. "That's b******t and you know it. I smell fantastic, you just don't like sitting in cars when your hair could be blowing in your face while your on your bike." F**k, how does he know me this good?  "Urgh, I hate that you know me so well." By now were walking through the parking lot and everyone as staring at us. In this town, everyone knows everyone, so when new people come, they're like aliens and everyone analyses you. We walk through the hall and some people follow us, trying to be discreet, but for us, since we are trained, we saw them easily. We got it to the office and I opened the door for Tommy. "After you dear sir." I said with a face British accent, bowing like you would to a king. "Oh why thank you dear." He replied with the same fake accent. He walked in and I followed.  "Well good morning to you two. I'm Mrs. Banks. What may I help you with?" She was nice. "I'm Thomas Williams and this is Alexandra Adams, we're new and need our schedules, locker assignments, and a map of the school please?" Tommy said with that nice voice he pulls on people when he wants to suck up to them. I roll my eyes at his politeness. Mrs. Banks looks a bit shocked when she hears my name but the replaces it with a look that I see all adults give Tommy. "Most certainly sweetie. May I ask, is it really you Alexandra, are you back?" Yes so I kind of forgot to mention that since this town is so small, everyone knows everyone and everything so when my parents were killed everyone pitied me and then when I left I assume that everyone also found out.  "Yes it really is, but could we have our schedules, we want to get to class early so we can make good with the teacher." I replied in my sucking up voice. What, I never said only Tommy did it? "Oh yes, of course just let me get it printed and... here you both are" She hands them to us once they've been printed.  "Thanks Mrs. Banks, I'm sure we'll be seeing you." With that we left the office and headed towards our first class which was AP Chemistry, we bribed the school to give us the same schedule. Did I mention that I am kind of really super smart? No, well I have supposedly already passed high school. Uncle Raymond home schooled me and I graduated when I was fifteen. He also taught me like six languages. We were about to begin a seventh when, well, you already know what happened. We both took one look at the map then threw it in the nearest trash can, having already memorised it. We made it to class before anyone else and decided on sitting in the back, though when people saw we had this class, anyone who also had it straight away came in and sat down, ogling at us like we were the King and Queen sitting in their class. I also heard someone say something about these being Max and John's seats, who ever they are. I, of course, didn't care. I snickered when the teacher came in and stared at us. He shook his head when we both looked at him, then wrote on the board Mr. Swanson. The bell rang and the last few students pilled in, all still staring at us. We glared at them though, me the girls and Tommy the boys, with Tommy throwing a wink or two at a few girls.  Mr. Swanson was about to begin class when the door abruptly opened and two boys strolled in like they owned the place, making their way towards the back where we seated. The stopped when they saw in the seats they thought they were going to sit in, oh well, to bad.  "Um, excuse, these are our seats, so if you wouldn't mind please move out of them?" The one closer to us asked. We simply chose to just stare at them, not replying. I swear it's like me and Tommy have the same mind.  "Ok, well we asked you nicely now we're telling you. Move out of our seats and go somewhere else." We still hadn't said anything. We turned our heads and ignored them at them same time and turned our focus to the teacher, prompting him to start the lesson. Chemistry had always been my favourite, that and maths.  "Uhm ok well boys, they did get here first and are already seated so I think it would be best if you both sat down some where else. Now once you do, we will have an introduction on the new students. Ok?" He asked, he sounded like he was afraid that he would offend them even more than we had. They, still glaring at us, moved to that last available seats. Once they sat down, Mr. Swanson asked us up to the front, we could still feel the glares of the boys on our backs.  "Ok now why don't you tell us your names?" I roll my eyes and Tommy starts. "Well, my name is Thomas Williams, but I go by Tommy, and this girl right here is my best friends Alexandra Adams, but she prefers Lexi." Everyone gasped when he said my name, and the teacher stiffened. He cleared his throat. "Ok well thank you Tommy, you and Alexandra may take your seats now while I start the lesson." We walked back and I started doodling in my book while he was talking about something I already knew. Tommy was listening because he isn't as smart as me and Chemistry wasn't one of his strong suits.  "Excuse me Sir, I think that it is really disrespectful that whilst your teaching that she is doodling in her notebook, not paying attention to the class" boy number one said. He gave me a dirty and I just rolled my eyes and continued to draw.  "Oh yes um about that would you please pay attention Alexandra. It's extremely rude that you're drawing right now when I'm explaining chemical equilibrium. Would you please come up to the front and complete this for me?" He asked looking smug like he knew something no one else in the room did, well, besides me of course. I got up to the front and answered the questions with out any hesitation and got it all correct. Once I finished I turned around to look at every ones shocked faces, well except for Tommy of course. I smirked and walked right back to my table, taking a seat next to a happy looking Tommy. "Um Alexandra how did you know all of that? Schools haven't taught that yet, it shouldn't have been taught to you yet." The teacher looked extremely confused. I chuckled.  "Well Mr. Swanson if you must know, I was home school ever since I moved out of town, and I have a pretty good memory as well as an IQ of one hundred and sixty two. I learnt this when I was fourteen. It's really not that difficult." I answered and look at the face that people usually give me when I tell them that I have a very high IQ for someone of my age. It's only because I have a photographic memory.  Class went on until the bell went, and again Tommy and I stayed until everyone was out of the room and we made our way to the lunch room, for the best period of the day, lunch.
