Chapter 6: The Alpha War

792 Words
Her POV — LUNA I never thought I’d be here again—barefoot in the woods, facing the monsters I spent years running from. But this time… I wasn’t alone. Ryan stood next to me, shirtless, his muscles tense and ready, his eyes glowing with that deadly, Alpha-gold shine. He didn’t say a word. He didn’t need to. His presence was enough to steady me. But it was me who had to fight this. I wasn’t just the broken girl they tried to destroy. I was Luna. I was Alpha. The first wolf burst through the trees, snarling, eyes wild with bloodlust. I recognized the scar on his neck—Jonas. One of my former packmates. One of the ones who held me down while the Alpha beat me for trying to run. My wolf surged forward before I could stop her. I shifted mid-air—bones snapping, skin stretching, fur tearing through my flesh—and landed on all fours with a growl that shook the leaves. Jonas was strong. But I was feral. And I was done being afraid. We collided like thunder—fangs and claws, blood spraying across bark. I bit deep into his shoulder, tearing until he yelped and retreated. Ryan’s wolf tore past me a second later—a massive black blur of muscle and rage—crushing a second attacker in one brutal strike. It was chaos. Fire. Blood. Howls echoing through the trees like war drums. But the second I saw him—Alpha Theron—my heart stopped. He hadn’t changed. Still towering. Still cruel. His white wolf stalked through the smoke like a ghost, eyes locked on me. “You think you’re safe now?” he snarled. “Because you spread your legs for a new Alpha?” Ryan’s growl could’ve shattered the world. But I stepped forward before he could. Because this was mine. I shifted back into human form, standing naked in the embers and dirt. “I’m not his property,” I said, voice calm but cold. “And I’m not yours either.” He scoffed. “You were born to be mine.” “I was born to destroy you.” And then I lunged. The fight was brutal. Fists. Teeth. Flame. He shifted, snapping his jaws, trying to pin me the way he used to—but I was faster now. Stronger. Wilder. Ryan didn’t interfere. He circled. Protected. Trusted me. And when I finally had Theron pinned, my knee on his chest and my claws at his throat, I met Ryan’s eyes across the battlefield. He gave me the smallest nod. Finish it. I slashed deep. Theron didn’t even have time to scream. The bond in my chest pulsed with something new—peace. Like the ghost inside me finally let go. The others ran. Cowards. I shifted back again, blood smeared across my arms, shaking with adrenaline. Ryan walked toward me, still in his human form now, naked and powerful and mine. “You did it,” he said. I nodded, tears in my eyes. “I’m free.” “No,” he whispered, pulling me into his arms. “You’re home.” We didn’t make it back to the cabin. We barely made it ten steps. Ryan pushed me against a tree, his mouth devouring mine like he needed to taste every second I’d survived. I clawed at his back, pressed my hips into his, hungry and desperate and high on victory. “Tell me you’re mine,” he growled. “I’m yours,” I gasped. “Now take me—right here.” He didn’t hesitate. He sank to his knees, mouth between my thighs, devouring me until I was trembling. I clutched at the bark, cried out his name, and when he stood and lifted me—legs around his waist—I was already soaked and aching. He filled me with one deep, hard thrust. I screamed. Not in pain. In freedom. He f****d me against that tree like I was his salvation. Like he didn’t care about the dirt or the blood or the fire still burning in the distance. Every thrust was a promise. A brand. A claim that went deeper than skin. Our bodies were slick, breathless, savage. His hand on my ass. My fingers buried in his hair. I bit his shoulder when I came, and he growled my name when he followed, filling me until I felt it drip down my thighs. But it wasn’t just s*x. It was a rebirth. He carried me after, arms cradling me like I was sacred. And maybe I was. I wasn’t a victim anymore. I was the storm. And he was the one who stood in it with me.
