I stared up at the large portrait of my father, seeing his bright blue eyes staring back at me. I couldn't help but feel this sense of pride welling up inside of me.
Every single day of my life, I am reminded of the sacrifices he had made for me..how he always put me first and tried to protect me from those evils that lurked around us. Little did he know that the woman who I thought was my mother, was the biggest evil of all.
After Kerrel's death, I realized how much of my life before was truly a lie. All of my fond memories were soon clouded by the deception she weaved deep inside of me..but none of that mattersd in the long run, because another part of me..it's grateful I was given this path..without it, I never would have met my three mates.
