Aria
Today is graduation day and I am just so ready. Time here sure has flown by and me and Asher have become really close over the time, which is nice because he’s really been my only friend here. I miss home sometimes but I’m getting used to it. Grandma is so happy to have made it this far and to be able to watch me graduate. “Happy graduation day.” She tells me as she kisses my cheek. “Thanks grandma, I’m gonna finish getting ready but mom will be here soon to sit with you.” I say as I make my way back down the hallway and into my room. I have gone with a classic white dress that falls to just above my knees with some pretty wedges to match. As usual, I curled my hair and put on my makeup. As I’m looking in the mirror a knock on the door sounds. I open the door to find Asher standing there with a small box in his hand. “Surprise!” He yells and hands me the small box. “You shouldn’t have.” I tell him. “You’re right, I shouldn’t have, but I did.” He sys sarcastically while giving me a playful wink. I gently slap his arm as we’re both laughing. I open the box and inside is a small pearl necklace. “It’s beautiful.” I tell him. “I wasn’t sure exactly what you’d like but I’ve seen my mom wear these plenty of times so I hoped you’d like them too.” He says. “Of course I do, this is so nice, thank you so much!” I squeal. He takes the necklace and puts it on me, lingering his hands on my neck. I look up at him and give him a small kiss on the cheek. Since the time we’ve spent together, I’ve been really happy to have him but I’ve always tried to make it clear that I wanted to wait for my mate. He understood completely and we’ve just been really great friends ever since. I hear my family come in the house so we grab our things and head out to the living room. “Happy graduation day baby.” Says my mom as she pulls me in for a hug. “We’re so proud of you my little croissant.” Dad says to me while kissing the top of my head. I blush a little at him calling me that in front of Asher but its okay since I know he loves it so much. “Thanks you guys, I’m so glad you were able to make the trip and be here with me tonight.” “We wouldn’t miss it for the world baby girl.” My mom says to me. “Alright, then let’s get a move on, shall we?” Says dad. We make our way over to the school and I part ways with my family and Asher. Since Asher is a year older than me he already graduated last year but is gonna sit with my family. I find my seat and sit and wait to receive my diploma. Finally it’s time, the start calling everyone up my name. “Aria Hart” I hear, I make my way up to the stage and get my diploma from my school principal. Seeing my family out in the crowd makes my heart seem with joy. This is really great. 3…2…1… we throw our graduation caps into the sky as we’re all officially high school graduates. This night has been perfect. We grab some dinner afterwards to celebrate then make our way back to grandma’s house. My parents bid their goodbyes and make their way back home. Asher is about to head home when he kisses my cheek and says “congratulations Aria. I’m so proud of you. I will see you in a few days. goodnight.” And off he goes, while I watch him walk off into the night.
