The Forbidden Forest

Claire was mad as she spoke that harsh words. She could not control her emotion to burst out as she felt that Marcus wanted to blame himself for Jenny. As she continued, she stamped her feet and shrugged her soldier. In her heart, it was Jenny's fault why did she become lost.

" What did you say?" Jasmine responded fiercely. She glaire at Claire as if wanting to swallow her whole. How could this both say such a harsh word? She never expected that the heart of this both was been rotten as she could disregard her friends in times of crisis.

"What??Am I wrong?" Claire also glared at Jasmine as her gaze did not lost her fierceness. As Jasmine heard that words at Claire, she gritted her teeth in anger. She made a couple of stepped and ran toward Claire who was standing behind Ken. But when she about run toward Claire and give her a good slap,Ken from the side opened his mouth and said,"Alright! It's enough. We cannot get anything in fighting." After a moment of pause, he trying to calm the two girls. " Don't worry everything will be fine, we can exit this forest. Just believe me and we can do it. But for now let's take a rest and wait for the dawn."

Ken voice was rather calm. But them inside he was scared and even himself didn't fully believed on what he'd just said.

" How about Jenny, Are we just going to let her wander alone? Are we going back even without her? You all know that she needed our help right now, right?". Jasmine suddenly said. Her tone of voice showed a hint of anger as she shifted her gaze at Ken.

" Ken, Jasmine is right. We can't go back unless Jenny is with us. All of us went in this place together so it's natural that we must find her first before going back to our tent. If you scared Ken, I will lead our group to find Jenny no matter what happened!" Marcus responded as he too looked at Ken in anger.

" Okay! You will Marcus! You may lead this group and let one of us be sacrifice again!" Ken finally lost his calm as he responded with gritting teeth. "I'm not scared Marcus!.I just want to make everyone of us will be safe. I was the mastermind why we are here now and I know better for us! Don't tell me that I don't care about Jenny! Yes, we are group and Jenny she is our friend too but...You Marcus, Jasmine and Claire, all of you are my friend too. Jenny is already lost and I cannot handle my emotion if one of you lost again. Please use your mind!"

" Are you dead serious?" Marcus could not believe on what he just heard as he added." Do you really think of us or you just only think of your own well- being?"

" You..." Ken gritted his teeth and clenched his fist into hardest. But when he was about to ran toward Marcus to give him a good slap, Jasmine who was watching from the side opened her mouth and said," Stop it guys! Don't make another war between us. Ken,Marcus you two should lead our group in this situation."

"..." Marcus and Ken were speechless. They realized that instead of making solution, they were making another war.

At the end they decided to look Jenny that time. Even Claire was unwilling as she was, she could only grit her teeth in anger and agree at the end. She stamped her feet because she did not care about Jenny, but she only knew was how much she care about Marcus. But this Marcus only put Jenny in his eyes. And this made her to be angered the more she thought about it.

Ken on the other hand didn't care about Jenny that much. But only he knew well how much he had care towards Jasmine. And since Jasmine was so eager to look for Jenny, he could reluctantly agreed in the end.

They were all walked on the common direction to look for Jenny. They shouted her named but even the lazy wind could not make an echoed to sent it somewhere in the dark. They were all tired and they could not make any steps because they were seemed like walking on the same place and they weren't go outside that location.

They were all quite minded and they didn't want to to have opened conversation to the four of them. A moment later and they were reached the unfamiliar place. Jasmine felt that she was lacked of air that passage through out her lungs. She felt rested because her foot could not make any stepped to walk. She begun laid on the ground and lost her conciousness.

Claire sudden shouted as she saw Jasmine lost her balanced and quickly laid on the ground." Jasmine!" Claire voice caught the attention of the two men. As Ken heard the shouted of Claire on his back, he immediately turned around to know what happened around. His eyes get wide as he saw Jasmine lying in the ground gasping for breath. Ken immediately ran tow itard Jasmine to know what happened to her.

Marcus also ran for helped. They were ran toward Jssmine.

"What happened Jas!" Ken uttered as he soothed the neck of Jasmine who laid on the ground without any movement.Claire felt frightening as she saw Jasmine" s veins turned into violet and her saliva drenched on her mouth that so sticky looked like a venom of the snake.

Marcus looked around and he could not see anything that might be the reason for the Lost of conciousness of Jasmine. He stared at Jasmine and he saw the red spots that marked on her neck. At that moment, Ken could not restrain in shaking the body of Jasmine to wake her up. But everything he had done was become nonsense as he did not bring back the concioused of Jasmine who still closed her eyes and did not move.

" Ken! Look, there is a bite that mark on Jasmine' s neck!" Marcus uttered as he saw the bite of unknown insect. Ken turned the head of Jenny to the left side and his eyes get wide as he notice that Jasmine bites by the poisonous insect that living under the ground. He could not believe that Jasmine might loosing her breath and he could not see her anymore on that situation. " Marcus, Claire, find some cure or else Jasmine will die!" Ken sudden said with frightening on his voice. He already know that his knowledge was not applicable to what happened at Jasmine and only Jasmine have a knowledge about some poisonous things inside the forest.

Marcus stood and quickly followed the command of Ken. He ran quickly inside the dark forest and Claire still kneeled on the ground imagining that she might be the next one who will be the sacrifice of that damn forest.

While Ken still survived the life of Jasmine, he never stopped doing CPR to save her life. Marcus ran away and he looked for some cure that able to survive the life of Jasmine.

Everything around was dark, and he never saw anything rather than some fireflies that flying on the humid air. That light give him an eyes to see something that could be a cure but as he picking those plants, his attention was turned by the lights that sorrounding him and instead of picking those planys he walked away and smile bitterness .He begun to forget the command of Ken to save the life of Jasmine instead he kept on watching the fireflies that reminds him the unforgettable moment that Jenny and him shared together.

He looked like hypnotized by the thousand of lights and his tears flowed as he remember that Jenny was lost and he sudden thought something unfair." Why Ken always thinking Jasmine in times that my beloved Jenny was gone, if Jenny will never be with me this time, Jasmine will never be with him forever!" Marcus muttered with devil mind and revenge. He kept on crying and he did not pay attention the cure that could save the life of Jasmine.

At that moment, Ken never stopped saving his beloved Jasmine and when he saw how the poisons scattered all around the body of Jasmine. Her veins turned into greenish violet and her saliva did not stopped bubbling while drenching out. His tears sudden flowed to the body of Jasmine as he noticed that Jasmine was gone. He stared at the sky and a force he shouted, " Jasmineeeeeeee!"

The voice of Ken far away sudden cut the emotion of Marcus and he ran back to the location where Ken shouted. His breath was panting and he sudden stopped at the distance that he able to see the three who where kneeling at the ground staring at Jasmine' s body.

Marcus pretend that he did not find the cure and he ran toward the three. "Ken, I'm so sorry I could not find the cure for her!" He uttered with denying sound.

Ken swiped his tears and stared at Marcus who was standing four meters aways from them. He gritted his teeth in anger toward Marcus as he remember everything he told before they continued their journey to look for Jenny.

"The cure is nonsense if Jasmine was already gone!" Ken clenched his fist into hardset as he spoke. He stood and face Marcus who still staring at him. Ken ran toward Marcus and without any words, he give Marcus a good slap that made Marcus's lips to drench in blood. Marcus touched his lips and when he saw some blood, he clenched his fist and hit Ken's face into hardest. Ken rolled on the ground and Marcus walked toward him to give another hit on his face. Ken could not move as Marcus rides on his body. Marcus did not stopped hitting the body and face of Ken as he remember how Jenny gone same as Jasmine. He did not know that Ken groped a dagger on his pants and pierced the back of Marcus. Claire on the back of the two was shouted as she saw Marcus stopped hitting Ken and laid quickly to his body.

" Ken! Marcussss!" Her voice was loud and trembled in fear as she saw how Marcus bath on his own blood. She ran toward the two but it's too late because Marcus was gone same as Jasmine. Because of being shocked and angered toward Ken as she saw how much Ken dragged his dagger into Marcus back, she immediately took the dagger that pierced in his back and hit the heart of Ken who still lying on the ground. Ken widen his eyes as he felt the pail of blood drenching out his body. Same as Marcus, his blood flowed on his mouth and bubbling like a bubble. Ken before he died, he looked at the body of Jasmine and closed his eyes without any hint of anger to what Claire did for him. When Claire bring back her mind, she suddenly notice that she killed Ken and she was alone inside the forest. She threw the dagger that she used to kill Ken and the reason why her beloved Marcus died the same. She ran away on the direction that she never knew and all things she put on her mind was to scape to the situation that the forbidden forest set them on their destiny.

The body of three still left on the ground and without lives and they did not expected that the revenge and love could be the way that might killed them all. However, Jenny was still gone and no one could tell wherever she was, and Claire fortunetly reached the tent seemed liked the forest give her a way to tell to the world that no one could scape to the curse that the forbidden forest give on them.
