The Unfortunate Severous

The overbearing power that Severous had displayed became the stepping stone for Senophie to execute her plan. She stood in front of Severous and grinned towards him.

"Severous! Son of darkness how pitiful you are this time. You are great but you are just an ant to me that I can blow away however I want." Senophie spoke in an icy tone as her cold gaze landed on Severous.

Severous frowned as anger slowly seeped in his heart after hearing the audacious words of Senophie. That said, he rushed towards Senophie to face her as if he was a monster. He stared at her fixedly as his sharp eyes seemed like a burning star at night. A moment later, after closing his distance towards her, he quickly grabbed the neck of Senophie almost choking her to death. His long sharp fingernails pricked the soft skin of Senophie and made a deep graze on it as her blood dripped down.

Arghh!

Senophie found it hard to breathe as she wanted to escape from the hand of Severous. Even after gritting her teeth in her hardest, she still could not retaliate at all. So to survive, she acted like she was powerless and was about to die.

Severous tightened the grip of his hand at the neck of Senophie and raised her by the use of his powerful hand. Even after seeing that she was about to die and could do nothing, he still remained expressionless as if what he was doing right now was not worth mentioning. So as if it wasn't enough, he slammed her on the ground with a heavy thud.

However, Senophie was cruel and a hypocrite. She laid down on the ground in a weakened state as she let Severous do what he just did to her. She did not defend herself, but instead, she begged Severous to let her go.

"S-severous! You are right no one can defeat you... Even... Even me the Halloxian queen." Senophie's voice was rather weak and somewhat stuttered when she spoke. Her eyes had even shown a trace of fear. After a moment of pause, she continued to beg for mercy, "Please let me go. I admit defeat. I'm begging you Severous... I... I... I can't breathe..Sev..Seve......Severous stop it."

Severous didn't feel pity for her. But seeing that the other party had already admitted defeat as he could use her to make the Halloxian army retreat, Severous let him go. After which, he stood up straight like a towering fortress as he raised his hand to the humid air. After a moment, he flew towards the mountain summit as he swept his gaze at the Halloxian army below him that was causing havoc almost everywhere in the forest of Monandria.

Severous couldn't help but frown in displeasure. The place he treated as his home was now being destroyed by these swarms of ants. So afraid that this might continue until nothing was left, he clenched his hand into a fist as his fingernails had even entered his palm. He gritted his teeth before roaring furiously that immediately caught the attention of everyone in the forest.

“The Halloxian queen has already fallen! All of you must go back to your kingdom and do not dare to ruin my kingdom again." Severous' voice was like a raging thunder as it caused terror to whoever had heard it.

So knowing that he had gotten the attention of the Halloxian army and made them stop, he flew back towards Senophie and looked at her in disgust, "Your strength is nothing to me. So stop dreaming of coveting my power."

After which was said, Severous turned around to see the terrified Halloxian army. Although his expression remained unchanged, his eyes had faintly emitted a sigh of relief.

On the other hand, the Halloxian army trembled in fear after hearing Severous. They really thought that their queen was gone. If that was the case, then they were surely doomed if they still stayed there any longer.

But when they all intended to flee, a sudden occurrence happened. Senophie's voice was could be heard and had echoed to the entire forest. Her furious voice called the attention of everyone around including Severous.

"Hey, bastard! How i***t of you to let me out from your hands. You won't believe me but I'm scared of you... I'm really scared... wahahaha..." Senophie couldn't restrain from laughing as if she had gone mad. So with a ridiculing expression, she continued, "I'm scared? To whom? For the i***t Prince like you Severous? We all know how great you are....how great you are for being an i***t wahahahahah".

Severous stared at her nonchalantly. He couldn't be bothered by her as he wanted to use an action to shut her mouth. But as he intended to go and give her a good beating, he suddenly noticed something peculiar. He shifted his gaze at the left side of the forest as he saw a dark shadow that was hiding behind a certain tree. He could see an image that formed out of that shadow.

He looked at the image as he narrowed his eyes but his attention was caught by the voice of Senophie who was still provoking her into a fight.

"Severous, are you mad? Come and fight me, how i***t you are if you are just standing there blankly. Show your Venomial power! Show it b***h!"

Severous opened his hands and closed his terrifying eyes. He whispered to the unseen things around and called the power he had.

"Kaboom...Kaboom!" The sudden rumble was caused by the thunder and lighting above. The dark shadow was released from his body and his eyes became more powerful than ever as he opened them. The devil side of his body had emerged and the whole forest shook. Everyone around was frightened as they heard the loud and tremendous sound that came up to the sky.

Suddenly, the shadow that was hiding emerged out of the huge trunk of the tree. Severous had immediately recognized who it was. He was the cruel son of Senophie's right-hand man. Half Desdemonian, half Halloxian. He was Porcopine, the one who wanted the love and long-lasting attention of his beloved Luna.

Porcopine was holding an unfamiliar weapon that Severous didn't see yet in his entire life within the kingdom. It was shaped like an arrow and it was so mysterious. It had a sharp end and it flew faster than the wind.

After a moment, Severous shifted his gaze at Senophie he intended to attack her. He then flew and rushed towards her to give her a good beating.

The trees swayed as he moved and the sands flew above as he ran. Severous sharpened his nails and pointed them against Senophie. But when he was about to reach his distance towards Senophie, he suddenly saw the other party opening her mouth as she said in a deceitful but hurried voice, “Do it now Porcopine... Now!"

In almost an instant after hearing her, Porcopine made a move as he threw the arrow as if throwing a javelin. The agile and unfamiliar arrow then rushed towards Severous.

Severous had naturally heard her shouting as he noticed the scheme they made. He could tell that Porcopine was up to something. However, the arrow was just too fast for him so before he could even react to evade the flying arrow, it was already too late. The sharp and pointed edge of the arrow hit his back as it pierced through him. It passed through his back that caused him to spurt a mouthful of blood.

“You...” Severous couldn't believe what had just happened as he stared at Senophie who was wearing a devilish smile. He shifted his gaze at his hands and the Venomial power hid and went back to his body.

His hand and face went pale. His expression became gloomy. His blood veins turned green. The beat of his heart hastened abnormally as he pronounced a word that only the breeze could hear.

"Poison of the three Halloxian queens, the effective poison that Halloxian bloodline created for me. My Venomial power couldn't do anything against it!" Severous finally felt fear as he muttered to himself.

Then after the poisonous arrow pierced through Severous' back, he finally felt that his strength was leaving him as he couldn't help but kneel on the ground. His appearance had immediately changed when the poison scattered into his veins.

Severous found it hard to move. Even his fingers had stiffened. His eyes wanted to close to feel the coldness of the night. The warm blood that drenched his body embraced him as if telling him to just rest in peace already.

He wanted to release his power but his body was giving up itself. The poison was so potent and it made an unexplainable way to let his voice fade. His veins streched, the blood of the prince fell again from his mouth. His throat became dry and his hands were shaking as he couldn't help touching the ground.

Senophie then walked towards his weakened body and threw words onto him, "Then now, how stupid you are to let me go. Look at you now, your current situation let us know how stupid you really are for not using the Venomial power properly, devil prince!

Severous couldn't find a word to retort. He could not even make any sounds other than the cough accompanied by blood.

He gritted his teeth as he raised his head with great difficulty. He glared at Senophie in resentment wishing that he should have killed her already. But what else could he do right now? His breath was slowly being taken away from him causing him to suffer even more. He groped his breath and he couldn't even hear anymore the laugh full mockery of Senophie. Then when his sight became so blurry, he suddenly swayed and then fell on the ground as his blood continued to flow out of his mouth and his back.

At the moonless night, Severous closed his eyes. The Halloxian army turned everything around into ashes. The bushes dried up and the leaves fell when Severous was holding his last breath.

The Halloxian army then came back to their kingdom as they brought along with them the roar of victory leaving only the destruction of Monandria.
