Wang Sisi gazed at the young man before her, his demeanor warm and approachable.
Despite the significant favor he had done for her, he showed no arrogance.
“Um… do you have some time later?”
Wang Sisi asked.
“Sure, what’s on your mind?”
“I was hoping to invite you for afternoon tea as a token of my appreciation for your help earlier. Of course… I don’t mean to repay you with just tea; I genuinely want to thank you. If it's inconvenient, you can decline…”
“Not at all, I enjoy afternoon tea.”
Lin Xuan interrupted her with a warm smile.
“Really?”
Wang Sisi looked at him, excitement shining in her eyes.

“Really.”

“Fantastic! Do you prefer coffee or tea?”
“Either is fine; it’s entirely up to you.”
Lin Xuan said amiably, wanting to take this opportunity to discern Wang Sisi’s identity.
“Let’s go to Peninsula Coffee; their coffee is renowned, and it’s nearby, so it won’t take up too much of your time.”
Wang Sisi decided, her face radiating eagerness.
“Sounds good.”
Lin Xuan grinned.
Ten minutes later, they arrived at Peninsula Coffee.
After selecting a spot, Wang Sisi ordered two signature cappuccinos.
As she stirred her coffee, she gleefully remarked, “The cappuccino here is quite famous; you must try it.”
“Alright.”
Lin Xuan replied.
Under Wang Sisi’s expectant gaze, he took a sip and exclaimed, “Indeed, it’s quite delightful.”
“Isn’t it?”
Wang Sisi beamed at him and added, “Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet. I’m Wang Sisi. Thank you once again for your help; it’s a pleasure to meet you!”
“The pleasure is mine, Miss Wang.”
Lin Xuan smiled lightly.
“I truly appreciate your assistance earlier. Had it not been for your support, General Manager Wang would never have agreed to collaborate with me. By the way, what is your relationship with him? Before meeting you, I’ve never seen him heed anyone else’s suggestions.”
Wang Sisi observed Lin Xuan, her bright eyes filled with curiosity.
She was self-aware enough to recognize that General Manager Wang's agreement to collaborate was largely due to the man before her.

Lin Xuan smirked, half-jokingly stating, “Would you believe me if I said I’m his boss?”
“You’re his boss?”
Wang Sisi widened her eyes in surprise, muttering, “But I’ve heard that General Manager Wang is backed by the Black Emperor.”
“Ha ha, so I could claim the Black Emperor is one of my subordinates?”
Lin Xuan laughed heartily.
Wang Sisi quickly realized he was joking, a smile breaking across her face: “I find you quite humorous.”
“Ha ha, I think so too.”
Lin Xuan chuckled.
Wang Sisi gazed at Lin Xuan, her eyes sparkling: “By the way, after chatting for so long, I still don’t know your name.”
“Me?”
Lin Xuan smiled slightly and replied, “I’m Lin…”
Suddenly, Wang Sisi’s phone, resting on the table, vibrated.
