“Yes, I just want to hit the sack.” I laugh too, thinking about seeing my friend after so long, "But, not before seeing you." “Great then, see you soon. I’ll be down by the restaurant in the hotel lobby. Just text me if you swing by—after a bath or before—maybe after that. The point is, I can wait.” She clears the air that she has time for me and my problems. “I will. See you soon.” I cut the call and concentrate on the passing tall, leafy trees through the drive to the hotel at which I’m staying. I’m at the Le Florence Grand Plaza hotel in Johor Bahru, which is the venue of Callie and Thomas’s wedding.
