What's a pure flame?!

" What's a pure flame?!", Adriana was curious. " Thanks a lot! Prince", Serefina rolled her eyes. " You see a pure flame is a fire bender with a purple flame. The end!", Serefina explained as quickly as she could, " so much for keeping a low profile", she added sarcastically. " That's not very explanatory, Fina", Adriana complained. " Fina?", Serefina questioned. " Let me help you out", Aidan volunteered, ignoring Serefina's questioning look.

" Long ago, actually, thousands of years ago", Aidan started, " the realm was ruled by four dragons that represented each elements. Mizuchi, the water dragon, Dilong the earth dragon, Eheratt the air dragon and Codmus, the fire dragon. The dragons lived together with other creatures for sometime till an ancient dragon was awoken which led to a conflict on which creature caused the awakening. The conflict didn't last long before they realised they had an even bigger problem at hand. The dragon was hungry for power and began hunting down the dragons themselves, higher creatures on the food chain like the centurions and even fairies. It had fangs as long as a human with which it used to suck the powers from the fairies and a petrifying stare. It wanted to over the whole realm but the creatures were not going to allow it so it led to what is now called the great dragon war". Aidan explained. " Woah, probably why there aren't fairies anymore", Adriana said thoughtfully. " Yup", Aidan replied, between gulps of water that he was drinking.

"The dragons and every other creature fought tirelessly against this monster. It was long and bloody one. When the dragons realised they were losing the battle, they called upon the moon goddess, Selene, for help. Selene selected a thousand humans and gave them a portion of each of the dragon's power. She called them the benders. She gave each of them a mate, life partner and these benders fought alongside the dragons, the centurions and the fairies. They won, but the dragons were already exhausted so they fell asleep in four different parts of the magical world. They are still asleep till now. Rumour has it that one of them is sleeping in Dominic's Castle dungeon", Aidan ended the story.

" You still haven't answered my question", Adriana pointed out. " Oh so a pure flame is a bender from the lineage of Codmus. Codmus' flame was unmixed and undiluted. All fire benders were initially pure flames until the moon goddess mated some of them with other elements", Aidan explained. " I get it now, so Serefina is a pure flame", Adriana said. " Are you a pure flame?", She asked Aidan

" Hi Prince Aidan, I'm Alinta ", Alinta walked over to their table and introduced herself, cutting in to their conversation. "Hi Alinta, nice to meet you", Aidan extended his hand for a handshake. "My pleasure ", She shook his hand. Just then, the bell rang. "Okay, I'm out of here ", Serefina stood up and walked out of the cafeteria. " Me too ", Aidan stood up, walking out of the cafeteria. " Humph ", Alinta held the hem of her skirt out of frustration so hard that her knuckles turned white. " Better luck next time Alinta ", Adriana laughed as she also stood up. Alinta gave her a dirty look before sashaying away.

The students were all seated in the chemistry laboratory, even though they were magical, they still needed to take the normal subjects. A woman with grey hair walked in, " Good afternoon students, I'm Mrs Addison and I'll be taking you chemistry the rest of the semester ". She turned to the white board and started writing. The students took out their notes and began writing in them. When Mrs Addison was done, she went into the store room and came out with some apparatus, placing them on the marble table and explaining their uses and importance to the whole class. Soon, the class was over and Mrs Addison went into the teacher's office.

Serefina stood up ready to go. She packed her notes and was about heading out when Alinta placed a glass apparatus near her, making Serefina hit it and it shattered. " OMG!, Serefina how could you? Mrs Addison specifically warned us about touching the glass apparatus". Alinta batterd her eyes like she was innocent. "You put in my way Alinta" Serefina frowned angrily. She tinkled her fingers and the glass refomed. Alinta rolled her eyes and said "No I didn't ". "Okay that's it" Serefina looked at Alinta note and it burnt. "Hey!", Alinta stormed towards Serefina. " Just because you're a pure flame doesn't mean you're better than everyone else in this school, you're just proud!", Alinta declared. " You think I care?", Serefina scoffed. " You love it! you like the attention everybody is giving you" Alinta said. Serefina rolled her eyes, " You have no idea how it feels being one of us, now if you'll excuse, I can't waste anymore time", Serefina pushed Alinta out of her way as she walked out.

Adriana stared at the beautiful flowing river like she's never seen one before. "Okay students, here's the thing, I'm going to need to test your water control skills. You're to out out that fire over there", Miss Ariel pointed at a burning part of
