Darius has his head in his hands his elbows resting on the arm rest, showing his frustration. Roaming around the pack house I search through the different offices trying to find Darius to fill my time with something to do while I wait for Mike. After last night I was told not to go to the gym until he fixed it all. Not that I wanted to be there when Kaly is trying to impress her friends. Hearing an obnoxiously honeyed female voice I look to a room seeing said female with Darius, leaning against the door frame I wait watching. She drags her finger down his chest honeyed voice trying to convince him to stop working and have fun with her. He ignores her jotting things down on paper when she pushes his chair away from the table, she moves in front of him putting her hands on the arm rests. He tries to push her away, but she pins him in place by putting her knee in between his hovering over him. when he doesn't do anything more than lean away from her, she shoves away from him turning to me where I am still waiting at the door not particularly caring for what's happening, she yells at me with a hint of frustration in her tone. "Do you not care he's with someone else" Blankly looking at her I reply with. "If he wants to do something with someone else, he can it's his choice" She glares at me with fiery eyes as she goes back to Darius leaning down to him trying to kiss him, all he does is push her off him. She shrills storming out of the room knocking into my shoulder on her way out. Poking my tongue out at her back as she rounds a corner. I go to him taking his hands from his hair placing them on my hips, his hands adjust as I sit on his lap my shoulder resting on his chest. Sliding my legs under the arm of the chair using the other one for my lower back and his arm. I look at his face seeing his eyes have darken, sighing I look away. "I wasn't going to tell you this, but my real name is Scarlett" I feel his eyes move to look at my face before he says. "You didn't have to tell me that because of what Zoe did" His voice comes out strained but calm, his right-hand rests on my knee while the left wraps around my back where his hand rests on my hip. "I didn't, you needed to something to focus on" He nods letting us to sit in silence. Once he has fully composed himself and ready to work again, he lets me slip out of his grasp I close the door behind me willing my hands to stop shaking as realisation hits me. Am I really starting to like and care for him. Scared of the possibility I think I need to leave before it actually happens. Nothing good comes from love. Waiting for nightfall I leave my bag where it is only taking my phone with my I quietly leave the house without disturbing any of the boys in each of the bedrooms. Taking off into the woods I wonder around until I come across a small clearing with a small lake that reflects the bright moon on the side closest to me a large almost flat rock sits near the water. Where a silhouette sits feet dipped in the crystal water. Carefully I move over to them making sure they know I am here as to not scare them away, as I get closer, I see it's a female around my age. "What are you doing here" Her soft voice carry's gracefully on the wind almost being washed away. "Leaving" I sit next to her a comfortable distance away. "I wanted to leave at some point to" We stare out at the still lake. As the moon glides higher into the sky where it's in the centre of the lake glistening with all the stars surrounding it. Our conversation carry's on blossoming into an easy friendship. It feels nice to have someone you can talk to about anything where they won't judge you. "I came here to escape from some of the wolves in the pack" She breaths out almost scared that they'll appear if she gives them acknowledgement. "I won't let anything happen to you" I assure her knowing that she needs a friend as much as I do. In the silence the moon moves slowly taking the stars with it. At some point we mutely agree to go back leaving in separate directions. Traversing through the dark forest I make it back to Darius's house where I land on the couch promptly falling into darkness. The front door opens waking me up I see Darius crossing the room to the stairs where he stops looks to me. "You can take the bed if you want" He mumbles out grogginess catching his words. "No thank you" I decline without argument he tiredly stumbles up the stairs to his room. My body slumps back into the lounge dragging me into a blissful darkness.
