Rest

Rest your eyes, for they be weary. Rest your thoughts, for they be dreary. Rest your soul and rest your dreams. Rest your aches, pains, and schemes. Until another light falls, and another night fades away. Rest anew and begin again in the day.

Dancing

So many nights I've seen your face

Reached out for you in the darkness

Felt your hands on my body

So many nights I've tasted your mouth

Felt your heart beating above me

Rested my fingertips along your spine

So many nights with me dreaming

Lost in that world where "we" was us

I miss you each day and each night

Every morning I miss you

I can't change the past

Can't mend who you are

All I can do is dance with you

Sleeping here in my bed

With my arms around you

All I can do is re-live a memory or two

That's all that I have left
