"I did not," Arthur snapped. "I know absolutely nothing about this."
"What nonsense." Marcus' voice followed sharply.
"No, they didn't," Audrey whispered.
"Young lady, do you know this is a serious crime and could get you jailed for at least a few years?" Alpha Adira sounded irritated. Then her voice softened. "But if you tell us who gave them to you, maybe I can make the punishment less."
Audrey was a trembling mess. Before now, I would never want to see her in trouble. When I used to think of her as my sister, I would have without a second thought taken the fall for her, if it came to that. But now...
