CHAPTER FORTY ONE The helicopter dropped quickly as Reid descended just north of the Polish city of Grodkow, at the precise coordinates the Ukrainian had sent to him. His intention was to land directly on the tracks, just as Maria had done to stop the freight train carrying Maya, but he couldn’t see a thing in the darkness below. Reid flicked on the landing lights and intensely bright white beams shone downward, at a slight angle, as he lowered to a thousand feet.
