Your POV " I'm so full, yet there's still a lot of leftovers... " I told Zhongli after we finished lunch. " Reheating our food doesn't change the flavor Lady (y/n), unlike from other restaurants. " Chef Mao said and I just chuckled at him. " Of course Chef Mao, no one can beat Wanmin Restaurant. How much was it again Chef Mao?" I asked him. " Oh, just 37000 mora." Chef Mao said and my jaw dropped. " If you excuse me Lady (y/n), I better entertain some customers as well. " Chef Mao said excusing himself. I then looked at Zhongli. " I... I only have 2000 mora." I told Zhongli. " Hmm... Still lacks 35000 mora." Zhongli said while placing his hand under his chin. " Yeah, simple math Zhongli. Uhm... could you spare me some? " I asked him and he just sighed at stared at me. " L-Looking at me can't pay the bills y'know... " I said and turned away from him to hide my blush. " I... guess I can't... " I heard him say and my eyes widen. " Don't tell me you don't have any mora? Ningguang just closed my account. " I told him and pout. He then looked at the sky," That hawk's been following us for a while now." Zhongli said and I groaned in annoyance. " Don't change the topic! " I yelled at him. " It's okay Lady (y/n), 2000 mora's enough—  " Chef Mao interrupted. " No, it's not! This vintage wine probably cost more than half of the expenses." I said with a sigh then a hawk suddenly landed on my shoulder. I shooed it away because I was pretty pissed and it dropped a pouch on our table. Zhongli handed it to me, I gritted my teeth and just took it. I was shocked because of its weight. When I opened it, it was full of mora. I then looked at Zhongli, who was casually sipping his tea. I saw the hawk at a tree nearby, we just looked at each other until it started flapping its wings and left. ' So Zhongli's wallet is a hawk?' I asked myself while paying the exact amount of mora to Chef Mao. " Guess your sister, Ningguang still cares for you a lot huh?" Chef Mao said with a chuckle. " Y-yeah..." I awkwardly agreed, even tho I know this isn't her doing. ' Since when did Ningguang had a hawk as a pet? ' I asked and looked at Zhongli while he was packing some of the leftover foods. I just sighed and facepalmed. " Well, we should pay respects to the food." Zhongli said with a smile after he was done packing up. " Yeah, sure. The hawk pays, then you respect. " I told him, Chef Mao tried to contain his laughter. " Till next time, Chef Mao. Thank you for those wonderful dishes. " Zhongli said and I just glared at him. " And I promise, I'll be the one paying next time." Zhongli said and gently pinched my cheek. The pouch is still heavy, and it still contains a lot of mora, but I haven't total it yet." How much did you put in here? I admire you a lot, you can just create mora... yet you rather live like an ordinary human and earn for it. " I told him and he looked dumbfoundedly at me. " The mora's not mine. " He said and it made me so confused. " What do you mean? " I asked him, raising a brow at him. " Hmm? I thought it was yours... " He said. " No, it's not! " I yelled and opened the pouch again. I started digging into the pouch and saw a small note. " I still owe you 50000 mora for the late shipped artifacts, and it already arrived by the way, but I can't send the mora into your account since the Fatui's are all-around the Northland Bank. I don't want them to notice or recognize me, so I sent my hawk instead. Thank you, and always be careful wherever you are. Try visiting the winery or the tavern if you have the time. " -Diluc Ragnvindr " Aww, Diluc... " I said after reading the note. " Diluc? " Zhongli asked. " He's a friend from Mondstadt. " I said and kept the note and mora inside my pocket. " A friend... I see... " Zhongli said. " He's the one behind this. I actually forgot about the delayed trading, good thing he remembered and is honest enough to pay me. " I told Zhongli with a chuckle. " Hmm... As he should be unless he wanted to suffer the Wrath of the Rock. " Zhongli said. " Oh~? You're gonna punish him for me? " I asked Zhongli and he smiled at me. " I would also punish you if you dare try to break our contract. A contract is a contract, one who breaks it will suffer the consequences. " Zhongli said and I just sighed. " Jeez, so serious. " I said and he pulled me closer to him while staring straight into my eyes. " Do you like him? " Zhongli asked. " As an individual? Why, yes. " I answered Zhongli with a chuckle. " Do you like me? " Zhongli asked and my eyes widen. " W-what do you mean? " I asked him a little bit confused. " As a human and a god. " Zhongli said. I chuckled and smiled at him. " I told you earlier, I admire you for being human. That means I like you because despite being a god you still try to live like a normal human being. " I explained to him, he then started to wonder. " What about me being a god? " Zhongli asked. " You, being Rex Lapis... " I said and started to remember everything he did to me. It made me feel so awkward. " You're... a little too stern... and I don't know what's running on your mind... B-but of course I loved you as a god. I wouldn't offer Glaze Lilies in the first place if I don't, right? " I told him and his eyes widen. " Hmm... Love... Do you know how is it to love? " He asked me and glanced at the couple who passed by our way. " All people do... " I told him and glanced at the couple as well. I then chuckled, " Even animals know how to love. " I told him, he started to wonder again. " You know how to love, I know it. " I told him and he just looked at me. " Well, you protected Liyue for more than a millennium. Isn't that love? " I said and asked him, he then chuckled. " Ahh. To cleanse the land and defend our safe Harbor, that was the first contract in Liyue. " He said and I just looked expressionless at him. " So you never loved anyone before? " I asked him he then started thinking again, I became pissed and smack his head. " Oww... " He slightly groaned, he then looked at me and chuckled. " Hate me! That's the total opposite of love! You probably felt hate before!? " I yelled at him and his eyes then widen. I saw him clutched his chest. " I... I wish to go somewhere more private and peaceful with you. " Zhongli said and started walking away. I just followed him, confused at his actions. " Something wrong? " I asked him, he then stopped and looked at me. " I don't know. I don't feel so good right now. " Zhongli said and we immediately went back to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.
