" That means I can drink— "
" Responsibly. " Ningguang cut me off. A wide smile slowly formed on my face.
" Yes, and also try to promote his business. " Ningguang said and left the three of us alone.
" How did this happened? She stopped me from going to Mondstatd to refrain me from drinking, yet she let your business— "
" She owns 10% of the total shares. " Diluc told me.
" Ahh. Now I get it. " I said with a sigh.
" Excuse me, If I may. I wanted to talk to my sister alone. " Ningguang said without looking at us. I glanced at Zhongli and Diluc and they both nodded and went outside. I then went to Ningguang. She then handed me a scroll.
" What's this? " I asked her and opened the scroll. It contains faces and names of children from specific nations. My eyes then widen.
" Are they missing? " I asked Ningguang and she nodded.
" 28 children go missing in a year since you left, (y/n). And I believe a lot from Mondstadt gone missing as well... " She told me and I nodded.
" About... 34 I guess... " I told her and she sighed.
" Do you think this is connected to our brother? " She asked me and my eyes widen.
" I think so, and also to the Fatui. Especially that Doctor. " I told Ningguang.
" About that Fatui boy that's always with that consultant? Any news about him? " She asked.
" No... But we almost got into a fight. " I said with a laugh and her eyes widen.
" That's the main reason I don't want you to get involved, even at the Liyue Qixing. " Ningguang said.
" Especially when I know that that Doctor is also after you. " She continued with her eyebrows furrowed.
" I actually met him at Mondstadt. " I told her and her eyes widen.
" I knew it. That's why you got in trouble! " Ningguang yelled at me. She then grasped both of my shoulders.
" That's the main reason I don't want you to go to Mondstadt! " She told me.
" Uhh... So it's not alcohol? " I asked her and she glared at me.
" What happened at Mondstadt? " She asked me. " By the way, any news from that friend of yours from Mondstadt? " Ningguang asked me again.
" A lot of things happened... And by that friend of mine... Do you mean, Diluc? " I asked her and her eyes widen. She then chuckled.
" Handsome, smart, strong, and rich... Why didn't I even realized that earlier? No wonder you two looked super close. You have great taste in men " She said and I just laughed.
" And we indeed got into trouble. But we managed to fix it. " I said and she sighed.
" The Doctor also had an interest in him, and he told Diluc to get stronger. " I told Ningguang.
" How about you? " She asked with a concerned look and my eyes widen.
" H-He probably haven't recognized me... " I told her and sighed in relief.
" Why? How come? " She kept on asking me.
" I disguised myself as Diluc's maid. " I told her with a laugh and her eyebrows furrowed.
" You what!? "
" But he did say something that made my skin crawl. " I told her with a disgusted face.
~ Flashback ~
" Diluc, is this necessary? " I asked him as his head housemaid, Adelinde helped me fix my attire. Diluc just leaned his back at the door while crossing his arms and closing his eyes.
" Please Lady (y/n), address Master Diluc as 'Master', so you wouldn't be too suspicious. " She said and hid my Vision beneath my dress.
" Uhm... Right. " I said as she started fixing my hair and tied it into a ponytail.
"It's finished, Master Diluc. " Adelinde said and excused herself. Diluc then nodded and looked at me.
" Never leave my side, understood? I heard a Fatui will be showing up, and he's one of the Fatui Harbingers. " Diluc said and I nodded.
As soon as the party started, I never left Diluc's side. He chatted and talked with the guests, as I kept my eyes open and stayed vigilant. Until I saw a familiar adult man with red eyes; pale skin; and short, curly blue hair and wears a black and white mask covering all of his face except his right cheek and half of his mouth approaching towards us.
I slowly tugged Diluc's sleeves. He immediately turned around to me, " It's been a while Master Diluc. " He greeted Diluc with a smile. That disgusting fake smile he flashes irritates me and gives me the chills.
" Allow me to introduce my very humble master, Il Dottore. The very champion who defeated Ursa the Drake. " And old man told Diluc, I looked at Il Dottore and he's already been staring at me. I politely smiled at him and bowed slightly.
" Bring the Seneschal to me, I want to have a word with him. " Dottore said with that creepy smile on his face. The Ordo Favonius Seneschal immediately joined the conversation and requested Diluc for a private place to talk to.
" I shall accommodate your request, Seneschal, but under a small condition. Please grant me a seat at your meeting. " Diluc told them. Dottore just clicked his tongue, yet they all agreed to Diluc's request.
Diluc then turned around to me, " You know what to do. " He told me and left with the Seneschal and Dottore. I bowed at them before they left.
" You have a special maid, young Master Diluc. " Il Dottore said, my eyes widen yet I just ignored his comments.
" O-Of course. " Diluc replied to him as they left the hall.
A couple of minutes later, " Lady (y/n), please follow me. " Adelinde immediately grabbed my hand and started dragging me out of the hall as well.
She gave me black clothes, " Please get change, as requested by Master Diluc. " She said, I took the clothes and went to a room to change. After changing I saw Elzer waiting for me outside.
" I shall inform Master Diluc after their meeting. " He said and left, I then immediately went to the winery's underground cellars.
I waited for an hour until I saw Dotorre's men approaching. A hand then suddenly covered my mouth, I then realized it was Diluc. We stared at each other for a long while, until we heard Krupp started talking about how aromatic the whole cellar is because of the wine, and how he's planning to steal some barrels
" These backwater and grape growers are fools. I'll take the wine and the children. That'll teach them not to mess with the Fatui ever again. " Krupp said, Diluc then immediately throw a knife at Krupp's hand causing him to yell in agony.
" THIS IS A TRAP! " He yelled. I then started spreading dust all over the place. Diluc and I then revealed ourselves.
" GUARD TAKE DOWN THE ASSASSINS! " Krupp yelled for backup, I immediately blinded them with dust, Diluc overkilled it after by throwing knives at them, hitting their heads. Krupp tried escaping but Diluc quickly caught him and chained him up, trapping him.
" Let me go! Do you have any idea who I am!? " He yelled at Diluc, I then slapped him hard on his face, Diluc tightened his grip on Krupp.
" Remembered, (y/b/n) from Liyue? The Fatui 'recruited' him a few years ago. No one ever heard of him ever again. " I asked him, slowly forming a knife made of dust on my palm.
" If you can't still remember him, I have ways to help you remember. " Diluc told him, gripping even tighter at Krupp.
" I want to know where the children went and that underground arena. I heard rumors of the sick games rich people play, but I'm not rich! " Krupp told Diluc. I then started to slowly stab the dust-made knife into his throat.
" I think you are, given by your fine taste in wine. I'll ask again. Do you remember (y/b/n)? " Diluc asked him.
" Oh by the seven! It's coming all back to me! That kid! He's gifted! M-Master... My master felt that he was special and so is his sister! B-but we haven't managed to have his sister after these years because of an illness! But after hearing that she was blessed by the geo archon with a Vision, she completely recovered and is now a mature lady at this day of age! " He told us, and my eyes widen.
" U-Uhh... Now tell me what Dotorre is doing with these children and- "
" Arggg! "
Diluc was cut off by something that hit Krupp's neck, I immediately turned around to see Il Dotorre. I immediately took Krupp's body and checked for pulses, " Tsk. He's dead. " I told Diluc and threw Krupp's body at the floor.
" Useless menial with loyalty issues. " Dotorre said and stared at Diluc and I. Especially at our vision.
" Hmm? A geo Vision and a pyro Vision? Hmm, interesting. " He said, Diluc immediately went in front of me to cover me in case of Dotorre attacks again.
" I'd love to indulge in this some more, but I guess that's it for now. Keep up the good work and hone your unimpressive powers. " He said and turned around to walk away, I was about to throw attacks on him but Diluc stopped me.
" Farewell, I can see a bright future for the both of you. " Dottore said slowly turning to glance at us.
" And by the way, young lady. You're special. " He said making my eyes widen, he darkly chuckled and left. I slowly felt my knees getting weak, Diluc immediately went to support me by placing my arms around his shoulder.
" We need to get going, so they won't be too suspicious. " Diluc said, I nodded and stared at Krupp's corpse.
