~Ellis
She parks outside the bar. I got out and headed in.
"Ellis, are you sure your okay?"
"I just need a few drinks," I said sitting down at the bar.
"What are you having?"
"Something strong," I said.
"Alright, pretty boy," he said walking away.
"Ellis, drinking your problems away is not the answer," She said.
"But hey I'm being f*****g social," I looked at her.
"What?"
"Everyone so worried about my social life," I said, rolling my eyes.
"That not everything, is it,"
"Here you go," the bartender said handing me my drink.
"Thanks," I said downing it.
"Slow down," She said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because you can get drunk and I won't be able to take you home," She said.
"Then leave I'll give the bartender a number to call to take my ass home, " I said drinking another glass.
"Unbelievable," She sighed and walked out.
"And this is why I don't go out," I mumble.
"Girlfriend?"
"No sister," I mumble.
"Now, can I have a number to call,"
"Right," I pulled out my phone scroll through it. I realize I don't have anyone that can get me, except Price. I sighed and gave him Price's number, "He's gonna kill me later, " I mumbled under my breath. I drink more.
What felt like minutes became hours. I felt someone watching me. Then I heard a familiar voice.
"Price buddy," I slurred.
"What the hell? How much did you drink?"
"Four bottles," I chuckled.
"He can drink. The first three bottles didn't hit him but the fourth one did," The bartender add.
"Ellis, why were you drinking in the first place?"
"f**k if I can remember," I sighed.
"Does it have to do with me?"
"You? No, me being a workaholic. Probably," I chuckle lean against him.
"Ellis, look at me,"
"You're mad at me too," I sighed and move away from him.
"I'm not mad at you. I'm trying to figure out why?"
"Why what?"
"Why you have the bartender call me?" Price said.
"Because I know no one else," I said, looking down at a glass.
"Really, then how did you get here?" He asked.
"My brother finance," I said.
"Then why didn't you call her,"
"She got pissed and left," I said drinking more.
"And your brother,"
"Got deployed," I got up and almost fall over. I felt someone holding me up. I heard them sigh. I pushed away, "Then leave I'll walk home. Sorry, to bother you, " I stumbled to the exist. I felt someone pick me up. I yelp in surprise.
"I'm taking you home, Ellis," Price said. He carried me out of the bar. I instinctively nuzzle into him. I was too tired to fight him.
"You're four years older than me. Yet, you acting like a child," I heard him mumble.
"You always act like a child," I yawned.
"And you are adorable," He looked down at me.
"Naw, your girlfriend is," I mumbled.
"I don't have one,"
"Yeah, you do," I looked at him.
"No, I don't. I'm not into girls," Price said, rolling eyes.
"What?" I confused.
"I'm gay, Ellis," He said setting me in his car.
"Wait... Hold you're telling all the time you was flirting,"
"Yes, Ellis I'm into you," Price said, closing the passage door.
"Oh s**t," I said, facepalm. I glance over at the driver's side. Price got in.
I curled more into myself knowing this isn't fair for him and for me. Yes, I do like Price but I got to stay professional.
"Ellis, do you even like me?" Price asked.
"I do but I can't be in a relationship with you," I said, "Plus you piss me off."
"How?"
"You have the relationship with your family, money, friend, potential boyfriends, even a house," I said.
"Oh," He said.
"You can get what you want when you want it. God, I wish I had that. I got abusive parents that never accept me, siblings, that move and live with relatives, relatives that don't want me. I get s**t on and talk about. I get left with nothing. I work for everything I got. I'm so tired of it and I mean all of it," I break down.
"Ellis, hey come on you know if u date me you can have some of those,"
"I'm not gonna date you for your money. I'm not that type of person," I looked at him
"I know. Please think about it," Price said taking my hand. I look down at our hands feeling myself blushing. I'm not gonna fight this. It's too good.
