~Ellis
Weeks after weeks, I still haven't seen Price. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. I just know it's too quiet. I just keep working.
"Ellis, you're coming with me for dinner," Mr. Pepper told me. I nodded, "We leave in twenty."
"Yes sir," I said start packing up. I looked up seeing Price with a girl. I got up and put stuff in my bag. I felt someone hit my bag out of my hands. I sigh and kneel down and pick up my paperwork. I felt someone lift up my head by my chin. I looked up at them.
"That where you belong," The girl laughs evilly at me. I pushed her hand away and got up. I finished packing my stuff.
"Let go Ellis," Mr. Pepper walked out of his office. I nod and followed him out.
"Ellis, " I heard Price call after me. I ignored him and kept walking. I rub my eye feeling the contact coming out.
"What's wrong?" Mr. Pepper asked.
"Contact is coming out," I said, trying to get them back in.
"Don't you have another set,"
"No, but I do have glasses," I mumble.
"Oh,"
"Yeah, but glasses just in case if I ran out of my contact," I said. We got into the car. I grab my contact container. I put my contact into it and pulled out my glasses. I blink a couple of times. Mr. Pepper drove to the restaurant. I stayed quiet. I don't know how he would react to me talking. I looked out the window. We pulled up to the restaurant. I got out. We headed into the restaurant.
"Mr. Pepper, it's good to see and you brought your assistant this time," the greeter smiled.
"He needed to get out of the office," Mr. Pepper smiled.
"He handsome," She said smiling at me.
"I don't think you're his type," Mr. Pepper nudge my arm. I tilt my head.
"Too bad," She hummed and walked to a table. We followed. I looked around. We made it to our table. I sat down, "What can I get for you guys to drink?"
"Water," I said.
"Tea," Mr. Pepper said. She walked off writing down our drink.
"So, why did you really event me out?" I asked, looking up at him.
"I want to know what happened between you and my son," he said, looking over the menu.
"Nothing happen," I said.
"And that bullshit," He said putting the menu down.
"It's not. You are the one that told me to stop whatever feeling that is started between me and your son. And I did just that," I said, skimming over the menu.
"So, that all you're gonna say," Mr. Pepper said
"Yes," I said fixing my glasses.
"Really," He said leaning back.
"What does it matter? You wanted me to end and I did," I said, feeling like I should leave.
"So your social life is not important?" He asked leaning forward.
"I work too hard to worry about a relationship," I said.
"You should," Mr. Pepper said.
" I grew up with nothing besides knowing hard work will pay off. Well here I am from nothing working at the best company in the country," I said looking at him.
"And you have zero social life," He said.
"Does it really matter if I do or I don't?" I asked.
"It does," Mr. Pepper said.
"Why?" I asked leaning back crossing my arms.
"Because it does. I like all my workers happy,"
"And again. You said you don't want me to date your son."
"I don't want my son to go through any more pain,"
"Well new flash you did," I said, getting up and headed out.
I walked out to the sidewalk. I took a deep breath. I sighed. I knew I just lost my job.
"Ellis," I heard a familiar voice. I turn to face them.
"Price," I tilt my head, "What are you doing here?"
I saw him walk closer. I tilt my head. He took my glasses off.
"Hey, I need those," I kind of growl.
"Wait, your blind,"
"Blindish, dumbass," I sighed.
"Oh," He said. I felt them getting put back on, "You look very hot with those on."
I blush, "I don't."
"You do,"
"Price, stop," I said stepping back.
"You really don't like me,"
"It's not that I don't like you," I sighed, "It's the fact that your dad is my boss."
"What does that matter?" Price pulls me close.
"It matters because I'm a guy and you should have a wife and kids," I talked louder than normal.
"Really," he said.
"Yes, which clearly you found a suitable partner," I said fixing my glasses.
"Ellis, you're an i***t,"
"Whatever floats your boat," I said walking away from him. I called a kind of friend for a ride.
~Hour later
"Ellis," she called my name. I walked over and got in.
"Take me to the nearest bar," I sighed.
"That bad," she asked. I nodded.
