I gave her a smile back, "Thanks." I was about to leave when Athena called me back. I froze on my spot as I asked, "Yeah?"
Athena turned to fully look at me, "I know you like him." I was about to open my mouth to protest but she hushed me with her fingers, "Don't even bother denying it. Besides, he's your mate so there's nothing surprising about liking him."
"Second chance mates." I corrected.
She raised a brow at me, surprised, "Wow, you actually didn't deny liking him."
I shrugged my shoulders, "I don't dislike him."
Athena looked like she wanted to laugh at me, "Right. I feel like he doesn't dislike you, too."
