“I understand.” I nodded against my pillow even if he can’t see me, my tears still going on like water falls. Atlas made yet another attempt to turn to look at me, but my hand on his back became tighter; a silent beg for him to not look at me still. It would only worsen the situation if he looks at me. I doubt I could ever stop crying if he does. “Dione, just let me hold you,” Atlas says, his voice breaking at his last word, and my heart breaks even more knowing that his heart breaks for me too.
