Ella stared at her phone, reading Paige’s message over and over.
“Ella, do you want to know what really happened with the fire back then? I can tell you the truth…”
Her thumb hovered over the reply button, but she didn’t immediately type anything. Part of her wanted to call Paige out she had seen the social media stunt Paige had pulled with Merritt Carman, the godfather, and knew this so-called “truth” might just be another trap.
Still, a spark of curiosity ignited. After all, Paige had never been one to tell the full story… and maybe, just maybe, she finally was ready to reveal it.
