Rorick I grabbed a blanket and a pillow from the bed and made myself comfortable on the sofa. I was tempted to mess with her, lie sprawled out on the bed, and tease her like I expected the kiss to lead to a night in bed, but my side still ached, and I was getting drowsy. The food and sleep earlier were enough to jump-start the healing, but it still left me drained. I sat down and checked my side. The scar was still there, but fading. I could feel pushing around the area that the insides were not as healed as the outside looked. That was damn smart of her to burn the would closed though. I smiled, thinking of how quick my mate was in a crisis. I lay back and threw my arms up behind my head when it dawned on me that there was no angry response from my fragmented mind about her being my mate
