Amaryllis I walked past the staff restroom door, around the corner, and to the emergency exit. I knew there was no alarm as I noticed Vic escaping for a smoke here and there. I pressed on the heavy door, hearing the latch clicking as it was slightly stuck, just before swinging wide open. The air outside was crisp. Winter still hung in the air, and it fought hard to keep the spring winds at bay. I sauntered out, feeling Matt’s eyes on me as he followed. I entered his mind and saw myself from the back.
