Amaryllis It was a quick kiss, just a simple thank you for making this little detour. I knew I would most likely never come back to New York, and as a foreigner, I have heard so much about the city known as the Big Apple—the lights, the sounds, the buildings that quite literally touch the sky. Sure, the people were in a rush, and some of them were rude. It seemed like everyone had somewhere important to go, but there was a sense of freedom there that was felt. They were able to go anywhere, at any time, for anything they wanted, and now, because of this rude, dangerous, but also thoughtful, and dare I say it, kind man, I was too.
