Narrator's POV
The two broken hearts sat next to each other in front of the lawyer. Marigold had signed the papers. It was really hard for her but she decided it was the best for both of them. Of course she still loves him but she was too angry towards him. Her anger and hatred overcame her love and with that she signed the papers.
Valentino's hands shook. He couldn't do this. This would kill him but he needed to do this for her and only her. With weak shaking hands he signed the papers as a tear fell out of his eye. She refused to take any money from him and the both were now free from their marriage.
