I walked over to the door before the doorknob began to turn repeatedly and aggressively, making my heart slam against my chest, and I asked who was there, but my voice came out so small. They began to throw their weight against the door and I asked who was there again, louder this time, while feeling like my heart was in my throat before whoever it was stopped. Silence.
