"Did anyone see you come in here to meet me?" I ask Lucas as he places a cloth over my head, wrapping it until only my eyes show.
He shakes his head, "no one saw me; I believe they are still discussing what to do with you. There are very few guards guarding you right now. This is the best time to get you out of here."
He covers his head right after he is finished with me.
"Are you sure that you want to risk the lives of you and your family for me?" I ask him right before he opens the door for me.
I didn't want to be the cause of someone else being hurt trying to protect me. Despite what Lucas and his family have done to me, I can't deny that they were in a helpless situation and they were at least trying to help make it up to me.
