Yesterday was the hardest day of our lives, watching Maat walk away. I wish she didn't have to agree to alpha king Jefar's demands. There is something evil about him.
“Jendayi, wake up and tidy up your room. I will serve breakfast in an hour.” Mom was standing at the door when she spoke.
It was 6 am when I checked the clock on the wall. I groaned, kicking off my blanket, and walked to the bathroom, then dressed. I looked at my filthy room and sighed. “Now I feel her absence.” Maat really spoiled me by doing everything for me. Oh, I miss her and cannot wait for this slow month to end so I can be with her.
