Maat’s POV   After splitting from Nestor, I went to Abubakar’s room. I knocked and waited for him to permit me entry. He opened the door with droopy puffed eyes, looking like he just got out of bed and spent the night crying. “Did you eat this morning?” I uttered the first words that came out of my mouth because last night he did not eat his dinner.  He moved to the side, and I wandered in. His bedroom was a mess, as if a wind blew in it, scattering his clothes and blankets on the floor. “Do you need help with the cleaning?” I asked politely. He shook his head yes without saying a word.
