After Xavier's wounds where cleaned up and bandaged, he couldn't help but think back to the fight and he felt ashamed. If Ciara haven't come on time to save him, them he would have been dead or better still disfigured. He knew that the bastard wasn't going to stop till he had gotten his revenge. He actually felt grateful that Ciara had saved him, but he didn't expect that. One of the reason he had refused to join the crew was because he could tell that Ciara didn't enjoy his company. When she talked, he could detect the hate in his speech. He couldn't say what he had done wrong or what had gone wrong. Since he didn't want to keep Ciara uncomfortable, he had decided to leave. That was the best option. He didn't know why she was the one that helped him. He was really confused. " Take this, it will ease the pain", Ciara said breaking into Xavier's thoughts as she handed a tablet of medicine to him. Xavier stared at her warily. He could understand the balm that had been applied on his injuries, but now medicine something was definitely wrong. As if Ciara could read his thoughts she quickly said. " It's from the prison guards, don't think that I carry the drugs around or something", Ciara said and shoved the drug and water in his hands. Xavier hated medications especially pills or tablets. Whenever he was sick, Amalia had to threaten him before he succumb and take his medication. But now he didn't need anybody to threaten him. If be wanted to recover quickly, he needed to down his medication. He closed his eyes and reluctantly downed the drug and took a big glump of water with his face squeezed. " You don't like pills", Ciara asked when she noticed his squeezed face. "No", Xavier answered with a frown. Ciara wanted to chuckle at his weird expression, but held it in. " You should thank the guards later for the medication ". Talking about the guards instantly brought a lot of questions to Xavier's mind. ' Where had the guards been when the fight was going on, why didn't they try to separate them', Xavier thought. " The rule in this place is simple. The guards do not interfere in the affairs of the inmates unless it's a matter of life and death. Yours wasn't a matter of life and death so they pretended not to see it". It was that instant that Xavier realized that he had actually said his thoughts out loud, but he wasn't perturbed he still had alot of questions to ask so he went ahead disregarding how stupid the question might sound. " Does the state know about this". Ciara chuckled. Xavier was really naive. How did he even end up here. He reminded her so much of her brother. That thought brought painful memories that Ciara wished to forget. She got up and picked up the things she used in cleaning his wound. " You should have some rest. We will get dinner for you". Xavier nodded quietly and laid down. " Thanks", he muttered as Ciara made her way out of his cell room. Ciara stopped for a millisecond and then left without a word. Xavier found it uncomfortable to fall asleep, but after turning for long he finally fell in a disturbed slumber.
