Sending Rufus and Otto ahead to scout, Conri and Ewan led the rest of the warriors to the trading route. Caius was honoured to be asked to join them, and to be such an intricate part of the plan. He was tired of being treated as if he were fragile. His role was to stop the carts on route by pretending he needed help, and the distraction would provide the opportunity for the robbery to begin. Jerrick was overjoyed he didn’t have to play the human anymore, since Iselda had made him pile on so much muscle it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to pass as the enemy.
“The cargo is approaching, it’s at a slow speed,” Otto conveyed through the mind link.
Needing no prompting, Caius ran in a straight line towards the carts to get the driver’s attention.
