Chloe's POV
I woke up feeling enthusiastic, a bit nervous but happy. I am going back to doing the one thing I actually love, that is my job. For at least two hours of my morning, I was happy. Then Damien had to go and ruin my mojo. I can't believe that he told me that I was negligent.
I love my baby; I would do anything for my baby; running away from a man I have been afraid of for years was proof of how much I was willing to go to protect my child. When I ran away from my ex-husband, the last thing on my mind was finding a guy and falling in love.
I just wanted to move on from Derrick, go back to work, and take care of my child. I never thought that I would find him there, that I would fall for him so quickly. My plans changed in a way I had never imagined they would.
