Derrick's POV
I didn't think that Chloe would show up here, and when I saw her walking through the door, I already knew that I had won. I have her where I wanted to have her, at my mercy.
She came in with a security detail, but it was unnecessary. If everything goes well, he won't be needed anymore. My mother said that Chloe was better off without me, I am about to make her choke on her own words.
I booked out the whole restaurant because I wanted her to be free, to see that she was not in any danger. I am not saying that I am cured after a couple of therapy sessions, but what I do know is that I don't want to put my hands on her again.
As long as she listened to me and did what she was told, we were going to be just fine. Still, I know Chloe, she won't let me win that easily.
