Chapter 23. It was a sunny Saturday morning, and Sinan and Lyn decided to take advantage of the beautiful day by heading down to the sandy shores of Malmo Beach. Their lovely seven-year-old daughter, Saina, was excited to build sandcastles and play in the waves with her parents. The family had been eagerly awaiting this day, as the beach always held a special place in their heart โ€“ from their first date to a yearly family vacation spot. As they drove to the beach, Sinan glanced over at Lyn, his unwavering love for her shining through his eyes. Turning his focus back to the road, he thought back to when they first met. They were mere strangers, nervous and shy, unsure of where life would take them. Some years later, here they were โ€“ married, parents of a beautiful daughter, and more in love than ever before. Little did Sinan know, their family was about to grow by one more member. Once they arrived at the beach, they unloaded all their gear from the car, taking turns carrying the cooler, beach umbrella, and chairs, while Saina ran ahead, eagerly scouting the perfect spot to set up camp. The soft, golden sand made a comforting cushion beneath their toes as they strolled to meet Saina, her young heart full of enthusiasm, energy, and a slight impatience. They quickly set up their spot and sent Saina off to explore with her sand toys, under the careful watch of her loving parents. Leaning back in their beach chairs, Sinan and Lyn soaked in the peaceful atmosphere the beach always offered them. The sound of perfect waves crashing against the shore, seagulls chattering up in the blue sky, and the wonderful aroma of coconut sunscreen mixed with the refreshing sea breeze. They took turns enjoying the wonderful view of the turquoise ocean, appreciating the boundless beauty that they never seemed to tire of. As the day progressed, little Saina spent hours building an intricately detailed sandcastle, complete with towers, walls, and a moat to protect it from the incoming waves. Engrossed in her task, Saina did not notice her parents watching her, love and admiration in their eyes. Lyn nudged Sinan, her warm green eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. "Sinan, do you ever wonder what it would be like to have another child?" she playfully asked, her voice barely audible over the sounds of the shore. Sinan turned to look at her, curiosity piqued. "Well, sometimes I do," he replied thoughtfully. "The thought of having a little brother or sister for Saina to play with brings a smile to my face. What about you, Lyn?" Lyn grinned, her heart racing with excitement from the words she was about to speak. "I do too, Sinan. And I believe we're on the same page because I have some good news." She placed her hand on her still-flat stomach before continuing. "We're going to be parents again." Sinan's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped. At first, he was simply stunned, before booming laughter erupted from deep within him as he processed the news. He pulled Lyn into a tight embrace, their love and excitement mixing in harmony. "This is the best news I could ever hear, Lyn! I can't wait to embark on this incredible journey with you again," Sinan said, his voice choked with emotion. Lyn smiled in return, leaning in for a loving and tender kiss, sealing their shared joy. As the two parents reveled in this newfound excitement for their family's future, they decided it was time to let their beloved Saina in on the secret. Lyn called out to their daughter, her happy heart evident in her tone. "Saina, sweetheart, come here for a moment, please. Your father and I have something very special to tell you!" Saina paused her sandcastle construction and turned her gaze onto her parents, curiosity twinkling in her young eyes. She crossed the distance, looking up at them expectantly. "What news do you have?" she inquired, tapping her sand-encrusted fingers on her leg. Sinan and Lyn shared a knowing glance before turning their attention back to their eldest and only child. "Saina, honey, we're having another baby. You're going to be a big sister!" Lyn enthusiastically exclaimed. Saina's mouth fell open in surprise, but quickly morphed into a grin that spread from ear to ear. "Really? I'm going to be a big sister?" she squealed in delight, bouncing up and down on her sandy toes. "Yes, sweetheart," Sinan confirmed, his own smile matching that of his daughter's. The family shared a group hug, their love amplified by the prospect of welcoming a new member into their fold. They continued to celebrate the joyful news on their favorite vacation spot, creating everlasting memories on that beautiful sandy beach. Sinan, Lyn, and Saina never knew life could be so perfect. Now, with the announcement of the newest addition to their family, they prepared to embark on the exciting journey of love, growth, and adventure that awaited them.
