I swore as I frowned in irritation when the lighter wouldn't light up.
I stood by the window of my room and from here, I could see the large swimming pool at the back of my home. I closed my eyes in frustration as I tried to calm my raging blood, but somehow, it just wasn't working.
I inhaled deeply, my deep eyes stared at the water but my mind wasn't on that, instead, all I could think of was the moaning sound of Elena which I had mistakenly heard.
I licked my dry lips, and with a flicker, the lighter finally came up. I put the cigarette in between my lips, then lit it up with narrowed eyes that showed danger and mystery.
