Unwritten Fate

Chapter 2

Xue and her friends were residing in a rented flat; her parents are well-known designers. Lin Wei and Beiye are Xue's childhood pals who have been together for more than 12 years. Lin Wei and Beiye both have soulmates: Lin Wei's soulmate Qiao Li is a fashion design student, and Beiye's soulmate Qiao Yan is an aspiring painter. Xue had only met Qiao Li. Qiao Li and Qiao Yan were brother and sister, and they met Lin Wei and Beiye when they were both 18. Xue has yet to meet with Qiao Yan.

She always wanted to meet him.

Lin Yang and his best buddy Qiao Yan were staying in a flat in Tao City. His parents work as university professors. Yang and Yan have been buddies since they were teens. They both work as aspiring painters under Master Huo, a well-known artist. Qiao Yan is always talking about his sweetheart and her friends to Lin Yang; yet, Yang always gets a tinge of envy when he hears about them. Qiao Li frequently visits her siblings and prays to God for Yang to find his soulmate.

After a brief break at their parents' home, the trio returned to their flat for the new semester. Xue was angry at the prospect of confronting her pompous peers; she still had no idea who her partner was. Lin Wei and Beiye see Xue's expression and try to cheer her up because they know what's making her closest friend unhappy. They both frequently pray to God for information regarding Xue's soulmate.

They returned to their rooms to relax. After a while, Beiye and Wei entered Xue's room and discovered her staring at her soulmate locator's wristband. They approached her, called her, and then turned back to meet her with a warm smile from her best buddies. They told her to get ready because they wanted to spend some quality time together by the lake before the hectic days ahead.

After a bit, everyone starts getting dressed, leaving their flat and strolling down the street to their destination. On the way, the group purchases cotton candy and sugar-coated haws. After a short stroll, they arrive at their hidden location beside the lake. The trio sat on the bench beneath the purple jacaranda tree. And they begin to eat haws, exchange their ideas on the new semester, and have a little conversation about their soulmates. Xue expressed a desire to meet Qiao Yan and Qiao Li, citing a previous meeting with Li from a year ago.

Qiao Li, on the other hand, was at her brother's flat, taking advantage of her final day of vacation before the new semester. Yang and Yan were preparing food for lunch. During lunch, they discuss their latest paintings, while Li discusses her latest design sketches. Change the topic of conversation and come to a halt at soulmates. Yan stated that Beiye, his love, was spending time with her best friend at their secret location.

Li also stated that Lin Wei informed her of their visit to the hidden site, as well as Xue's request to meet with them. Yan remembered and stated that he never met with Xue due to his hectic work schedule.

Suddenly Yang enquired about Xue because he had heard the name mentioned more than twice by Li.

Li explained that Lin Wei, Beiye, and Yin Xue were childhood friends who studied at Sun Shine Academy and majored in arts. She had already met with Xue once, but Yan was unable to attend on that particular day, so he missed out.
