The discussion of the Emperor's marriage

All rise for the arrival of His Majesty Emperor Michael; says the announcer

Everyone in the courtroom excluding the empress dowager stand up and bow their heads as the Emperor enters together with elder brother Grand Prince Augustine and younger sister Princess Arabella

The Emperor takes his seat after paying respect to his great grandmother Catherine, the Empress Dowager. The Emperor asks everyone to sit down after greeting them.

Why have you suddenly called for a meeting; Michael asks the council and family members.

I thought we have already discussed this and have decided that the Emperor will marry when he is ready? The Emperor's father Sir Stephen asks

So what do you suggest? asks the Emperor

You Majesty we think it will be good for you and the entire kingdom if you form an alliance with our neighbouring kingdom so please it's better to get married to the Princess.

No I don't want my marriage to be an political alliance I want a marital relationship that will be forever; says the Emperor. At least I also want to have a love story I can tell my children in the future. I want a woman who will love and accept me for who I am not for what I am.

Your majesty, we need a woman who will fit into your status and be an Empress for this kingdom so we need to choose wisely; says lady Hilda the first aunt of the Emperor.

What my son and the kingdom needs is a kind hearted woman who will love him and understand him; says the Emperor's father Sir Stephen
