Decision to postpone the wedding

Liliana goes home after leaving the palace happily. she meets her family sitting in the living room and she greets them

Lisa: mum: where are you coming from and why do you look so cheerful?

Liliana replies smiling: where is your sister?

Lisa: she is in bedroom, mum you didn't answer my question.

Liliana: I went to make our future bright. go and call your sister

Lisa goes looking at her mum suspiciously. A few minutes later, Lucia walks in with Lisa behind

Liliana: Lucia darling come sit next to me

Lucia: mum why are you happy?

Liliana: guess what?

Lucia: mum what? you know I am not good at guessing

Liliana: I went to the palace and met with lady Gloria and with what I told her, I bet you that the wedding will be cancelled by now and I bet Joy is in trouble. she will soon be thrown out of the palace

Lisa asks angrily: mum what did you do and why are you so sure Joy's wedding to the Emperor will be cancelled? just then Nicholas walks in

Nicholas: what is going on here?

Lisa tells him everything Liliana said

Nicholas: Liliana what did you do?

Liliana: don't worry darling just know that that Emperor will be getting married to Lucia soon

Nicholas: what!

Liliana: Yes darling. we should get ready for Lucia's Wedding with the Emperor

Liliana takes Lucia's hand and leaves with her leaving Nicholas and Lisa

Three days later, Liliana is sitting in the living room looking worried Nicholas comes and asks what is wrong with you

Liliana: I don't understand why there has not been any updates from the palace. I don't know what is going on.

Nicholas: please Lily forget this idea of splitting the Emperor and Joycelyn. look at you now this thing is draining you mentally

Liliana: I won't rest till my daughter marries the Emperor. I am going to the palace.

Nicholas tries stopping her but Liliana didn't listen

Liliana arrived at the palace but was stopped at the gate

Liliana: hey why are you stopping me I am here to meet lady Gloria

Guard: I'm sorry madam you can't go in

Liliana: why?

guard: we have been told not to allow you in the palace

Liliana: what? I am the future Empress's mother why can't I enter?

Guard: madam please go away

After her while, Liliana realised that she won't be allowed in the palace so she changed her strategy

Liliana stands there for a while and asks the guard what was going on in the palace

guard: madam what do you mean?

Liliana: tell me about the wedding of the Emperor and Lady Joycelyn

Guard: everything is going well

Liliana asks shockingly: will the wedding happen?

Guard: of course madam

Liliana: okay

Liliana went away angrily

Meanwhile in the palace the Emperor meets his family for a meeting

Lady Melissa: Everything is ready for the wedding. I can't believe my son is finally getting married

Sir Stephen: Yes finally I don't have to spend my night talking to him now I can sleep peacefully with my wife. his comment made everyone laugh

Emperor Michael: Dad please stop it.

Lady Gloria: I have a feeling that Michael you are hiding something

Empress Dowager: you are right Gloria

Emperor Michael: why are you ladies saying that?

Lady Gloria: are you in love with Joycelyn?

Emperor Michael: I knew this was going happen whenever the ladies in my life come together to meet me, it means I am in trouble. they all burst into laughter

Empress Dowager: just answer and stop talking rubbish

Emperor Michael: I really like her and I always want to protect her but for love i don't know yet

Sir Stephen: you liked her the moment you saw her portrait

Emperor Michael laughs but don't say anything

Sir William: Michael are you hiding something from us

Emperor Michael: yes I am but I won't tell you now

Sir William: please tell us maybe we can be of help

Emperor Michael: I will talk to Joycelyn first after that I will tell you everything

Emperor Michael meet Joycelyn in the evening and help her with her assignments after that they had a talk while drinking tea

Emperor Michael: Joycelyn, I think it's time to tell my family everything I had wanted to keep a secret but because of your step mother's foolishness, everything is becoming difficult

Joycelyn asks nervously: what do you mean?

Emperor Michael: your step mother came to meet my aunt and said all kind of nonsense about you but thankfully she didn't say you are underage because she knew it will cause a trouble for her so she didn't say anything about that so I think we should inform my family because I think that will be her Trump card for her to ruin everything for you

Joycelyn: your majesty please if you think that will make everything right then please do. I trust you

Emperor Michael: thank you for your trust

the next day, Emperor Michael tells everything Joycelyn to him to his family and also about the bruises Maid Helen saw on Joycelyn

Lady Melissa: this is too much now i understand why she keeps hiding her body

Lady Gloria: that girl might have been through a lot in her life

Emperor Michael: she is not twenty she is only seventeen. her family sold her to save themselves from bankruptcy

Empress Dowager; oh my goodness, my baby has been through a lot

lady Mary-Yolanda: Michael please if you really want this girl, we must find a way to save her from her family, we must get them punish

Sir Stephen: I can't believe a father will do this

Prince Augustine: no we won't punish them, we will let lady Joycelyn decide their punishment once she is on the throne what we should be worried is about her age

Empress Dowager: let's postpone the wedding till she gets eighteen and while the wedding is postponed, we will investigate more about the Blanksons and finds a way to protect her

Sir Stephen: wow grandmother, you really like this girl

Empress Dowager: she reminds me of your wife.(everyone begins to laugh) she is the only lady Michael has accepted to marry so she is special

Emperor Michael: this is why I love you all. I have the best and most understanding family in the world

Sir Stephen: Arabella, please make sure you tighten the security around her

Princess Arabella: yes father

Lady Gloria: I won't ever leave her side

Emperor Michael: Thank you a

A guard walks in and announces lady Joycelyn's arrival

Joycelyn enter running and she hugs the Emperor making everybody shock

Sir William clears her throat making Joycelyn move back and looks at the shyly

Lady Gloria: what happened?

Joycelyn: I just wanted to show my results of a test we took in class to the Emperor

Emperor Michael takes the results and smiles and says congratulations you are really learning

Joycelyn: I have the best teacher

Empress Dowager: Joycelyn I am so mad at you. why didn't you tell us everything you have been through in the hands of your family

Joycelyn: you have been so kind to me that I got selfish, I didn't want to loose you all. you have given me everything I wanted

Lady Melissa: and what is that?

Joycelyn: love and family. I have a great grandmother, a grandmother, a grandfather, fathers, mothers and I even have siblings now. Joycelyn starts crying

Emperor Michael: please don't do this. don't cry

Lady Melissa hugs her and says: we are your family now so please don't cry again

Emperor Michael sits Joycelyn down and says: Joycelyn, we are postponing the wedding till your birthday

Joycelyn replies: really?

Empress Dowager yes or don't you like the idea?

Joycelyn replies: you are my family and I know whatever you do is the best

Sir William: I'm sorry I didn't see your pain dear

Joycelyn replies: don't apologise father because if you had not taken me I wouldn't be the happy. thank you Father

Sir William: you are welcome

Princess Arabella: group hug

they all hug happily
