The Unexpected Guests
Artemis didn't think that such a fickle thing could trigger such a reaction from him but here he was, folding simply because the professor praised him.
He pulled away from Lucian's grip, clearing his throat awkwardly.
The professor didn't seem to notice, or at least pretended not to.
“I guess I should have told you I know everything in the textbooks. Nothing you give me is going to catch me off guard,”Artemis bragged.
“I see,” Lucian drawled, startled by the sheer arrogance. But even then, he knew that Artemis wasn't just bragging. The boy was that smart. “How about I give you an assignment then?”
