Melinda's face flushed with embarrassment at the way Artemis addressed her before the students.
She could hear the mocking whispers and it made her so mad but she couldn't afford to lose her cool now.
Not when she desperately needed to save face.
“You know your father would be displeased if he found out you shunned me in public,” Melinda said.
That was enough to trigger another round of whispers as the students' curiosity piqued. They wanted to know how the new girl managed to know Artemis' father.
