Chapter 14   THE MYSTERIOUS PARTY   "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. We will now start the Acquaintance Party within five minutes."   The last five minutes of smiling and chatting joyfully. It's the last minutes that we cannot waste. We found seats near the middle place, just enough distance to grab some food, go to stage, or go to the washroom.   "What do you think will happen?" I asked Seth. He snaked his arm around my waist and moved his face closer, slightly dragging his chair. I shoved him away. "Told you to stop flirting."   "I am not. I also don't know what might happen later. The organizations might know it. You should have asked Cellyn."   "She only told me about the booths."   "Booths," he repeated. "I hope it would be fun. I had no slightest idea about it. I talked with some sophomores, junior, and seniors I know regarding this event, and they told me that their opinions would be invalid because the SGA always plans out the party differently. What happened last year might not occur today."   I nodded my head.   The booths were situated on the floor before the bleachers. Some were familiar to my eyes, and some were not. One was obviously Jail Booth. Complying to the themes, their color were mostly black, gray, maroon, and white. Giant magnifying glasses were hanging everywhere. On the center were the big disco lights.   The sound of the entrance doors closing echoed in the entire place. The lights dimmed, and the spotlight gave focus on the stage. Despite the darkness, the name of the booths still glowed. There were dead bodies outlined on the floor. Many were surprised and was taken aback by the appearance of the images which weren't there earlier.   The masters of the ceremony approached the stage. The man led the woman on the stairs and gave her a microphone.   "Good evening and welcome to the Imperial University's Acquaintance Party!" they began. "We are your host for today—Dezmond Zakhar and Dakari Villober."   "Every year, as you might have heard from other older students from this university, the theme changes each year because our Student Bodies want to guarantee you a warm welcoming and unique experience," he said and glanced at his partner.   "You're right, Dezmond," the lady agreed. "Before we officially begin, let's start our event with a short prayer to be led by the secretary of the Finance Executives Association."   Someone walked to the center of the stage and accepted the microphone. We bowed our head. The prayer was short.   Dakari took the microphone back. "For this year, they came up with not only unique but very peculiar program that will show how good our university is when it comes to these kind of events. Maybe we shall hear from our industrious president who decided to execute this theme about what we should anticipate for this event. As a senior, she might also give some advices for all of you which you can use on your journey towards success."   "Aside from that, I heard that the president will announce the most important rule of this party. What could it be?"   "Let's not wait any longer." The energy of these two people did not match the theme. "Everyone, give a big round of applause for our hardworking, most patient, and very charming president of the Student Government Association, no other than Sumika Yuzu Murray!"   Sumika, the president, sported her outfit, rocking the mysterious theme of the party. She was wearing a mask meant for masquerade parties that concealed half of her face. Her lipstick, from what I can see, was on a darker shade than the usual—black or violet, I guess. She loved red, the one I always see on her posters with other student bodies. Her long black dress with a slit showed off her long leg. I wouldn't have recognize her if she wasn't introduced.   "A blessed day for everyone," Sumika said while roaming her eyes around the venue. "A new door has opened for each one of you. Not literally new people as you might have known some of your schoolmates, but I would like to tell you that the harder challenge in your life starts when you enter this university as a college student because when you graduate here, that's when the adulthood starts. Don't be pressured by anything. Just enjoy."   The crowd was silent, eyes fixated on the woman giving her short speech for students who have no experience in this battlefield with tall buildings and humans in a pair of uniform that marks their roles in the society.   "This Acquaintance Party is for you to get to know each other. However, as part of the theme, you should conform to the one and only rule of this event: No smile is allowed, you will be deprived of liberty. Every student who will be caught smiling by the officers from different organizations will be put in the Jail Booth. Be sure to keep that curve in your lips hidden. 'We cannot socialize if we are lock up in that booth'—some of you might say, but I assure you that you will not be alone in that room. Many of you will surely break the rule. Now, again, welcome to the Acquaintance Party where every smile will cost your freedom!"   Amidst the rule of not smiling, students still managed to let out a loud cheer for the short welcoming speech of the president. The disco lights opened, the song boomed, and we danced on the floor. My heart knocked on my ribcage together with the beat coming from the music.   "We will have our first game for tonight, but before that, we need fifty women and forty men from different departments," said Dezmond. He was not grinning, but his eyes were so dangerous—playful and forceful. "For players, line up under the stage, and for the audience, step back because we will need a lot of space for this game."   "Now, now, don't be shy." Dakari chose some boys from other departments, and because of her beauty, they were mesmerized and couldn't refuse her. They must have also enjoyed the feeling of their skin touching. "We got three men already. Come on, freshmen! Will you only let this three gentlemen to experience the pleasure for tonight? I'm sure you would regret not joining this."   She had the look like Dezmond. The men suddenly got fired up and even rushed to the front. The girls murmured at each other and nodded. They lined up with the other players.   The host counted them. "Only two spots are left for men, and five for girls."   The spots were completely filled by the students. The hosts elaborated the mechanics of the game.   "It is called Pull-It-Out."   Pull-It-Out was similar to Musical Chairs, but instead of racing to the chairs, the participants, who are women, will have to compete by grabbing the flexible ruler held by men in front of their waist. They also explained the number of participants who will be eliminated and removed each round. There were five rounds, and the end of the end of the round, only five women can win and receive gifts.   I crossed my arms. "Seriously, why would they initiate this party with a naughty game?"   "It's a trap." I caught Seth's grin, but he immediately bit his lip to stop himself. He looked at me. "Does that count?"   "No. Only the officers from the organizations of different departments can bring us to jail."   "And who are the officers?"   We stared at each other. We moved our eyes around to survey the area, and it's hard to tell which is which. They perfectly blended with the freshmen. Sooner or later, we might be facing the consequence of our crime.   For the first round, ten women were already eliminated, and the two were removed. The game continued. The DJ played with them, minimizing the value then maximizing it. Some players ended laughing in an attempt to pull the ruler from the men and was dragged from the floor to the jail booth which lessen the number of participants.   "That's for you people who forgot the rule." It sounded more of a threat than a reminder that my body shuddered at her tone. "Remember: A smile will cost your freedom."   Fortunately, five women finished the game without breaking the main rule of this event. Even when they were declared as the winner, their lips were tightly sealed after uttering their 'thank you' to the hosts and returning to their friends.   "Are you ready for the next game, freshmen?" Dakari held the microphone pointing to us, our shouts blaring. "We will be needing pairs, so if you have a pair, come and join us here!"   I threw Seth a meaningful look; he wiggled his brows. I was the one to pull him to our location near the stage. Five couples, ten persons in total.   "We need twenty couples for this game."   Like earlier, Dakari, who was joined by Dezmond from pulling pairs in the pool of crowd, accomplished gathering participants and completing the required number.   "For our next game"—the sound of the drum rolled—"it is called Take It Like You Mean It."   "This game, as you can see from our male participant will bring you fun and thrill," Dezmond pronounced. I didn't notice Seth left me here. The organizers were attaching something on his body. "What you have to do is remove the pins from their clothes within ten minutes. Top five couples who will have the most number of pins detached will be declared as the winner."   Mouth dropped slightly open, my brows raised in shock after my mind fully processed the mechanics.   "Of course, there will be a twist. The women's eyes will be blindfolded. You will listen to your partner. It's a game of trust."   Freaking naughty game.   They put on my blindfold. I extended my arms, searching for someone as the darkness fully corrupted my vision. I touched the person in front of me, identifying the details to recognize who it is.   "It's me, Seth."   I sighed. Good grief.   "Do not smile no matter what. Bite your lip if necessary, or I will do it for you for the sake of your freedom."   I nodded my head.   "They put it everywhere—vest, necktie, collar, and sleeves."   "Also on your pants?" I asked.   "Yes. I will guide you, but move your hands slowly, so it will not touch... you know."   "I get it."   "Timer starts now!"   I began tapping his stomach part... and probably feeling his toned physique. Seth moaned, and I swore that it was very difficult in my part not to let the side of my lip even raise a little.   "That feels good," he whispered on my ear. I hit him, but he answered it with a whimper. "More, baby."   "Shut up."   I gave him the pins I removed for him to hold. After blindly searching on his front, I patted his shoulder and arms and unpinned six more. How many pins did they put, really?   There were two on his collar, and the way my hands moved to search for the pins might seem I was doing it sensually.   "Goodness, you're turning me on."   "Shame on you, man. You're wearing pants, and I might touch it later." I licked my lips sexily. "What worse could happen than the blue balls?"   If he could do it, then I could do better. Let's see who will end up constipated later.   My hands travelled down, causing me to go down, too, but I intentionally flaunted my bum while kneeling down. Surely, Seth could see it. My one knee was on the floor while the other one was not.   "Three under my belt. Two near my inner thighs. One on my left leg. One on my right knee."   "Roger."   "And one above my crotch."   I gulped down. I gripped his belt. My breathing became uneven. My body felt burning. I raised my head; the crowd's excited noises damaged my sense of hearing.   "What are you doing?"   "Trying to remove this one?"   "But you look like giving me a head."   "How am I supposed to get this out of your pants then? Do they expect me to do a cartwheel first?"   I mentally rolled my eyes to proceed with my current mission. Just one pin above his manhood, and I would be done.   Seth kept moaning, and it's ruining my concentration. I was afraid that I would touch a part of his... I couldn't say it, for crying out loud! This was the last one.   "Can you please help me instead of acting like you are having a good night?"   "Probably three centimeters above your hand. You should have already felt it."   I wanted to hit him again, but this time, it would be the thing in between his legs. A few heavy breaths, I successfully removed it. I stood and ran my hands across my dress. Just as I was done, the ten minutes was fully consumed.   #
