“You can’t do this to me.” Dahlia hissed at the vampire who was currently sitting on the couch watching how Dahlia implored him to let her go.
“You are wrong, Dahlia. I can.” he responded.
“Massimo, you know that Baron is on his way here to Gorgax. I need to stop him entering the dark woods before anything worse could happen.”
“And then what? You’re coming with them? I won’t allow that.”
“Fine, then do something!”
“I did everything I could, but you know how the other vampires are, they won't listen to me just like how they attacked the tavern to get you, remember? They have fully succumbed to darkness and there is no human soul left inside of them. I cannot promise your soldier’s safety, but if Baron listened to me, he should withdraw and go back to Haru, even without you.”
