I sprint towards the screaming, finding myself in a park on the university campus. I run and run, trying to find the source of the sound and save her. Sheer adrenaline has made me run faster than I think I ever have before, meaning that's it's only taken me a minute or two to get here. As I run through the parks gates, the screaming stops and my heart jolts in my chest. I really hope I'm not too late. I strain my ears for a sound and hear a tell tale whimper of a wolf in pain and I start sprinting towards the sound. “Please be okay” I chant over and over again in my head. As I round the bend, I see a huddle of dark figures and their pungent aroma my nostrils. My stomach lurches as I realise they aren't wolves, they are vampires. How did the even get here? But I don’t have time
