My heart sank at the news.
"I have to go," I said, my voice urgent. "I have to save them."
I rushed out of the room, my mind racing with thoughts of how to rescue my captured people.
I had promised to protect them and now my promises were about to be broken.
How could I have left them on their own knowing a mad man like Christian was still alive?
He had killed my crew and now he was after my other friends. I had to rescue them and stop him.
As I made my way to the stables, Liam caught up with me, his expression filled with concern.
"Wait," he said, grabbing my arm. "This could be a trap by Christian. You can't just rush in without a plan."
I shook my head, my determination unwavering. "I can't leave them to suffer, Liam. I have to try."
