Strange now a year had passed and her hair grew longer the fine strands of newborn hair were replaced with her true hair, but it was just as white when she was born. Her eyes solid color not jewel-like, unlike the rest of her family. She was developing just fine, she was on targeted weight and growth. But she didn't look like her siblings, though Tallia took charge in caring for the princess and would only nurse from her mother and no one else. She was special and unique as that began to raise questions among the servants and even seeded doubt in the king and the of her siblings.
"She doesn't have any color.... is she the King's child?" One of the servants whispered while they cleaned and straightened the nursery that had been abandoned for many years. When the last baby was born and no one dares not to come in due to the fact of the bad memories of the lives of the little ones that didn't make it. "Yes, the eyes aren't even jeweled like others. She must be of lower birth considering, she has solid hair and eye colors. Like a slave." The servant snickered softly.
"Say that again." The voice of the queen was soft while being hushed due to nursing her Miracle child. She glanced up at the two catching their snide comments about her youngest child. "Do you know that she had no life in her until I held her? She was blue, and not breathing with no heartbeat..." Queen Helia said looking at them scolding them as she then turned to calm down stroking her daughter's white hair. "So, what if she doesn't have our hair tones doesn't mean she not of my blood. She may be a little slow in getting hers because she met death. If I hear another word of this, I will have your tongues." She said looking at them darkly.
The two that were cleaning the nursery where Thiassess slept, quickly left the room to leave the queen alone with the strange child. However, one thing they had noticed the queen's health had to seem to be improving. The youthful glow of a young woman and mother showed, Queen Helia's hair full of life, with a healthy shine and volume the once lighter strands darker and back to when she was a young princess. Thiassess stirred and stopped nursing when they left. Tallia came and took the princess bathed and changed her before the three of them headed to the dining hall with the rest of the family.
"My King." Tallia bowed her head holding the princess who just looked about sucking on her thumb and leaning into her caretaker. They all thought she was blind due to her eyes were not normal, Thiassess held out her hands grasping the air as she tried to speak. "Om om om." She was wanting her father, the king strangely when the king held her the same thing would happen to him. But his was less noticeable than the queens. Tallia placed Thiassess in King Uldreyin's lap where Thia stood on his legs and bounced she didn't speak many words just sounds. She looked at him and stood still her fist covered in her saliva from sucking on it. "Om om D d d d d Da Da." The entire hall went silent, was looking right into her father's eyes as she giggled bounced more on his lap.
"Darling, I want to put the rumors of her not being your child to rest. Let's do the Test of blood rites tomorrow before the entire court." Queen Helia said as she ate while her husband held their youngest daughter, though she thought Ma Ma was the first word, she could accept it since she been through such a traumatic birth. She was just happy every day she had with her youngest child.
The next day and in the throne room before the servants and guards and their other children. Tallia held Thiassess while the high priest came and pricked King Uldreyin's finger, then Queen Helia's finger letting a few drops fall into the enchanted water. Tallia kept the Thia entertained and smiling when she had her tiny finger pricked. The blood of the king's blood swirled counter-clockwise while the queen's blood swirled clockwise. Once Thia's blood was added to the water Thia took noticed though she didn't scream or flay her arms she simply stuck her finger into her mouth and watched.
Both of their Majesties stood there watching as the droplets of blood from the princess spread out in a star pattern connecting King Uldreyin's blood and Queen Helia's blood with Princess Thiassess's blood before it combined shimmered. "The Blood rites are done Your Majesties. Princess Thiassess is the child of King Uldryin and Queen Helia." The priest said by now the princess had fallen asleep in Tallia's arms and was being carried back to the nursery after that day no more rumors arose about Thiassess being of their blood or not. But soon darkness was creeping along in the shadows as someone wasn't pleased with this result...
