With recruitment letter placed in my hand and duffle bag over my shoulder I stud in front of Hunters main building. My heart raced looking at the huge white wolf emblem placed above the wooden doors. In excitement I clenched my fists crumpling the letter in process.I took a deep breath and entered, sound of creaking door made people turn their heads. New recruits and not so many of them, maybe thirty. They formed small groups scattered around the huge entrance,and some of them stud alone like I did.

Two Hunters approached me and just stud there staring at me.

-Our Captain got soft.

-Yeah,what was he thinking?

They commented at loud while eyeballing me.

-I agree, looking at you two I assume Captain is using you for bait,all though meat on your bones is sparse.

-Girl watch your mouth.

-This kind of attitude will not work in your favor. -Both off them got fired up.

-I don't need any favors,now please remove yourselves from my vicinity. You are annoying me with your presence.-I rolled my eyes at them,and that seemed to light up the spark.They came even closer to me.

-Girl,you don't know what are you in for.

-Your pretty face won't stay pretty for long.

Threatening started, but I refused to take it.I smiled at them to piss them off even more and it worked like a charm.I could see them clenching they're jaws,trying not to rearrange my face with their fists.

-Vick,are you causing trouble again?- I heard a familiar male voice near by.

-You know me so well.-I answered to Dorian before turning my head to see him,but when I did I was in shock.

-WTF...

Dorian wasn't alone,there he was standing with crossed arms over his chest and behind him were Noa and Lucas.Three of them pushed in front of me to create distance between me and my soon to be pissed comrades.

-Come on,we will deal with them later.-One of them pulled another to move away.His eyes were not fixed at us,they were fixed on Captain that just made his appearance on the other side of the entrance hall.

-See you later pretty face.

-Guy's what are you doing here?Hurry,leave before Captain notices you.

-We've all recruited, so leaving is not an option.

-Noa,no....

-Yes,I figured that what ever I do,you won't change your mind.Only thing I could do to protect you is come with.

-I'm a grown woman Noa,I don't need protection. -This felt like we were about to get in yet another sibling fight.Captain Levi already started his speech standing in front of us new recruits on the elevated stand.I missed everything he said but Captain didn't miss seeing our chatting in the distance.He glared at me while speaking.

-Guy's focus, we'll talk later.-I bumped all three of them to turn around and focus on Captain.

-...you won't get any missions for two weeks. You all will be undergoing training and tests for further evaluation of your abilities.As you already know this squad is the first line of defence and that includes scouting as well. Death is knocking at your door, meaning half of you will be dead in a month...-Low whispers exchanged between recruits. -....you're training begins in few hours. Anthony and Rob will escort you to the barracks, good luck.

We all followed Anthony and Rob outside of the building,they led us to a gravel path surrounded by neatly cut grass.On the way everyone was chatting with one another in whispers, I couldn't make out what were they saying but my gut was telling me that it had to do something about Hunters squad.

-s**t,that was some encouraging speech. -Dorian spoke shaking his head.

-Captain just said the truth. And by the way Noa,I'm mad at you. You are not supposed to be here,this was my decision,you are supposed to back me up not tag along with me.

-In Noa's defence, you're always going to be his little sister. - Lucas chuckled,making me frown.

-Don't think I forgot about you.

-Relax Vick...-Lucas throws his arm around my shoulders-...what's done is done.We are all here now...-he glanced at three off us-...well not all,but almost.

-Lora...-Lora was not here.That was reliving, I couldn't bare to have her around. Only because I loved her so much,she is my best friend,she is like a sister to me.I didn't want her to get hurt or killed.

Within few minutes we all were standing in a barrack with bunk beds.Everyone scattered around to claim his,me and the guys took two next to each other placed right in the middle of the barrack.

I was just unpacking my few belongings from my duffle bag and placing my uniform on the bed,to be ready when I needed to change for the training,when a female cadet approached me.

-Excuse,me...you must be Victoria Reeve. Haha...silly me....-She smiled playfully.Her uniform fitted her figure perfectly, and her black hair was short,just barely touching her shoulders.

-Yes,I am....and you are...

Lucas,Dorian and Noa were staring at me and her,but mostly her.For being a soldier in the Death squad she was looking really relaxed and in high spirits.

-Oh...my name is Angel.

-I bet it is...-Lucas murmured eyeing her out.

-Captain Levi sent me to get you.He wants to see you in his office.

-Me?-s**t,am I in trouble....I bet those assholes Anthony and Rob said something about our fight.

-Yes you,I'm going to take you to him right now.-Angel said still smiling. I looked at the guy's and they're faces showed concern.

-But why does Captain needs to see me?

-Sorry he didn't gave me that information, come on now,you don't want him to wait.Our Captain has a short fuse.-Angel's words made us giggle, we all remembered when I called him short in front off our ex squad.

Angel didn't know that so she looked at us confused.

-Ok,let's get this over with.

Angel took me back to the main building,we climbed up the stairs on to the second floor. Few doors down she stopped walking and pointed her finger at the wooden door beside her.

-This is Captains office,I'll be waiting for you outside.

I nodded my head and loudly knocked on the door with my knuckles.

-Come in...-I heard Captain Levi's voice from the other side.

I slowly opened the door and walked in.

-You needed to see me Captain. -I stud in the middle of the office with my arms behind my back.

-Victoria Reeve....take a seat.-Captain Levi glared at me from his chair behind his desk.Sitting down I immediately noticed how organised his desk was,then everything in his office.Nothing seemed displeased and all was spotless.

-Mind me asking why I'm here?

-For a few reasons actually. -Fuck....this doesn't sound good.

- Captain can you give me a chance to explain myself, I....

-First is your big mouth. -Captan Levi cut me off.I gulped lowering my head down.

-You insulted me in front of your squad, then ignored me chatting with your friends when I was speaking and you pissed of my comrades. True,they are idiots but still....

-I'm sorry Captain.Does this mean you are kicking me out?

I lifted my head up hearing him chuckle.

-No....not yet at least. I read your file...-Captan Levi pulled out a file from a drawer and set it in front of him-...your skills amazed me and I saw you fight yesterday on the wall.I think you will be a great asset to our squad.

-Thank you Captain. -Small smile appeared on my face.

-I'm not done talking. Only problem I have with you is that you talk too much,I suggest that you seal that lips till the end of testing. -Captain Levi's eyes got stuck for a moment on my lips,his cheeks got tinted pink.He quickly looked away and turned his back to me getting up from his chair,he started looking out the window instead.

-Yes Captain, I'll do my best.

-One more thing. You will be staying at the sleeping quarters with my comrades, you will get your own room.Go with Angel to get your things.-Captain Levi said turning his head a bit to the side,eyeing me over his shoulder.

-What?Why?I don't mind staying at the barracks.

-Victoria that's an order.All recruits we've taken are men,I don't need any incidents happening.

I sighed at his stupid order.I couldn't care less that they all were men,besides I had my friends with me.

-Yes Captain.

-You can go now.

I nodded my head,before I left the office I took one last look at Levi.He was still facing the window, so I eyed him up.Damn,those gray pants looked good on him,hugging his tight ass perfectly.

-How did it go?I didn't hear him yell.- Angel asked me leaned on the wall near by Captain's office.

-He didn't.He gave me an order to stay at the sleeping quarters,I guess with you guys.

-Oh I know, he mentioned something to me.I just wasn't sure was Levi talking to me or to himself. Sometimes he is so weird. - We talked heading back to the barracks.

-Tell me something about him.I really don't know him well.

-About Levi?Hm....there's not much to say.What you see is what you get.

Angel shrugged her shoulders. Either she doesn't know or she doesn't want to say anything. Well never mind,if he's like she says then Levi is mean,straightforward guy with hot looks.Damn,I'm being attracted to powerful men yet again,first Kaine and now Levi. I'm sensing a pattern here.

-Guy's,unfortunately I'll be leaving you.-I said putting my stuff back into duffle bag. They all stud around me not understanding what happened.

-What are you saying?

-Did he kick you out?

-He did didn't he!That....ugh...I'm going to beat up that shorty!

-f**k,relax....He didn't kick me out,Captain gave me my own room. -I explained seeing how rallied they got.

-Your own room?

-How did you get special treatment and how?- Noa frowned at me.

-You better not be thinking that I had my fingers in this.-I growl back.I know my brother well,he's probably thinking that I seduced Levi or something crazy like that.

-Calm down,Captain thought it's for the best because she's the only girl in here. -Angel stepped in to help.

-So he's done this before?-Lucas asked Angel.She looked up at the sealing thinking hard.

-No,I don't recall him doing this.-Was her conclusion.

Guy's frowned again,she didn't help at all.

-Look,it doesn't matter.It was Captains order.

I said putting my last piece of clothing in the bag.

- Besides,we'll see each other at the training and testing.

-Shit...I don't like this one bit.-Noa sighed lowering his head.I came closer to him and hugged him tightly.

-I love you big brother...-Noa chuckled and hugged me back.

Sleeping quarters were not far away,actually they were right in between Main building and the barracks.Walking in to the quarters Angel started explaining me where everything was.Resting and dinning area and also the kitchen were at the main floor, two upper floors are all rooms they slept in.

Listening to Angel I cought a glimpse of two guys sitting in the resting area.I recognised them and ignored their existence.

-Look what cat dragged in...-Anthony and Rob walked over to us with evil smirks on their faces.

-Hey,guy's....this is Victoria. She will be staying here with us.

-You don't say.

-Hi,baits...didn't think I'll see you this soon.-I greeted them with a smile. Their frustration started to build up,teeth sinking into their lips.

-What?-Angel's eyes jumped back and forth between three of us.

-I have a strong erge to punch your face. -Anthony's fists clenched.

-Then do it,or you are just talk.-I taunted him.

-Wait,no....stop....

Everything went in slow motion,Anthony's fist appeared in front of my face but before it could reach me I blocked it with my elbow. Wide open I took my chance and slammed my fist into his face. Anthony fell like a log on his back.Rob was next one to go.He wasn't wasting time worrying about his friend,he came right at me.I dropped my duffle bag on the floor to move more freely. Rob took me by surprise kicking me on the side of my ribs with his leg.It hurt like hell,it's bound to leave bruised skin behind.

Disregarding the pain I straightened my back taunting him to attack me.

Rob fell for it,he swung his fist at me,but I blocked it with both of my wrists,before his second hand could hit me I hit his jaw with the back of my hand.Once I hit him immediately I went around the back of his neck with my arm trapping him in a choking position. I used my body weight to sandwich him down,locking my hands together with one hand under his leg and another over his neck.I rolled him over me and got on top landing a punch in his face. I raised my arm to hit him again,but someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me up.

-What the f**k are you doing?!

Levi...his eyes darkened in fury.

-Captain I tried to stop them,but....-Angel was shaking,pressing her hands on her face.

-Shut up and take Victoria to her room...-Levi said facing Anthony and Rob.

-I'll deal with this idiots.

-Come on.-Angel took my bag and nudged me to move.

Soon as we started to walk I heard Captain Levi jelling.

-You f*****g idiots....I should beat some sense into you for being stupid!Lucky for me I don't have to strain myself because she already kicked your ass's!Have some self control...

His jelling continued,I couldn't understand a word from the upper floor. I gulped thinking that I'm next in line.Fuck....and this was my first day as a recruit.
