Chapter Thirty-Seven After Sunday morning service, Violet set to work making a harness for Wintersmith. First, she invaded the mews and appropriated one of her family’s carriage harnesses. It was too heavy to carry all by herself, so a stable boy helped her lug it back through the garden and up to the house. He balked at the door, though, indicating the state of his boots, so two footmen took over.
