“I should get going,” I murmured, wishing I could leave. But he shook his head and leaned back in his seat, his piercing green eyes settling on me. “What else?” I asked with unease. His gaze was making me so uncomfortable.
For a moment, he didn’t say a word. He just kept staring at me, and I found it so awkward and tense. I watched him get up from his seat and move closer to me. When he got to where I stood, he leaned in, our faces just inches apart. “I can’t wait, Olivia. I can’t wait to have you,” he whispered, his voice deep and husky, sending shivers down my spine. “But unfortunately, not today.” He sighed and stood upright, tucking his hands into his pant pockets.
