Chapter 16As we drove away at a high speed, Marty said, “Get ready to jump out of the car as soon as I slow down.” Next, he made a turn down a one-way street headed the wrong way and had to drive up on a sidewalk to miss a car. It was then as I looked out the rear window that I saw a car turn onto the street chasing us.
I turned to Marty and said, “What do they want?”
“To kill you. I’m sure they want to make a few copies of the file and sell it multiple times. They probably figure you have copied it and want to do the same. If you have copies on you or hidden some place, by killing you as soon as possible, they eliminate the competition. If it got out that there were other files, the price would fall through the floor.”
